Ok. First it couldn't get an IP address automatically. Then, when searching for people to play with, I got disconnected. And now, somewhere in 3rd lap, it crashes. Every time. Any help?

Crashes how, like the game freezes or disconnects? If the other players are disconnecting they might just be shutting their DS off upon realizing they're going to lose. Otherwise, call Nintendo or check the website.

Server's been acting up. There is a chance who you were playing with were sore losers and/or didn't want to play someone with your wins/loss count.

Sounds like a problem with your wireless router.

I don't have a wireless router. I use an access point (this one) but it's never failed on me before. I use it to get on the Internet with my Pocket PC and I can use MSN Messenger without any interruptions.

Edit: Also to note: The connection quality thing is always green and has all 3 bars filled.

Edit 4: Now I actually got an error code! 94030 it is.

"What to do:

   * Please try again.
   * Something may have interrupted the connection. Check for:
o Low battery power on the Nintendo DS (the light changes from green to red when battery power is low).
o Signal strength from the access point is low. Move closer and try again.
o Check for wireless interference. Devices such as cordless phones and microwave ovens should not be in use." -- from nintendowifi.com

The problem is... None of this shit is true. Battery is ok, I'm sitting right next to the access point, and no other wireless devices are in use.

Okay, well then it sounds like your access point is not well-supported by NWFC.

And the green bars only mean you've got a good signal to your connection; they say nothing in regards to its strength in relation to what IT'S trying to connect to.

It took me a while to get connected due to my internet thing. I had to do some work with it just to get it to work. My DS doesn't accept my WEP Key though so now I've had to do something else. It's probably what Alastor said, what you're using doesn't work that well with NWFC. You may have to go to a HotSpot or get a wireless router like a Linksys or AirPort depending on your type of computer.

I just don't see how it can be not-well-supported if it works some of the time. Oh well. Could it be the router too? I mean, I have a router it's just not wireless.

Does your pocket PC have some way of pinging someone? Have it ping a server like Google during the game and see if packets are being dropped when the game disconnects; that might help identify the source of the problem.

Also, I've heard a few times (even in this thread) that their servers are having problems, probably because of the sudden surge of people getting the game for Christmas.

Yeah, but shouldn't I be kicked from Messenger if I lose the connection?

Your connection to the NWFC... Is independent of your connection to the internet.

If the ping on messenger is after the loss, you won't get kicked from it.

If your connection randomly cuts out, check for WEP key requirements and input a key if needed.
I'm fortunate I don't need to manualy setup my DS to connect to the router except for the WEP key and SSID. If the WEP key is not the primary one, you can be disconnected randomly.

It goes through your Internet connection. If your connection dies, your game will stop. That's how you can tell if the problem is on your end or not.
