I was thnking of making this a poll, but whatever. Bacon, discuss. How do you like yours? I love mine crispy--really crispy. Like...to the point where it sorta crumbles appart when you bite it or handle it. I hate bacon when its really chewy...its usualy like that when you order it in a burger, and thats just..bleh ;x how do you all perfer yours? (and if you're wondering why I'm making such a random topic, I saw some in my fridge and it got me wondering )

I like mine non-existant.
The smell grosses me out.

Otherwise, if I had to eat it, crispy is good.

Yeah, crispy. I think it tastes better when it's cooked that way. Chewy bacon is disgusting.

But I'm not real big on bacon, considering I rarely eat a standard "breakfast."

I agree with Thoughtless.

As crispy as possible before it burns to death. Well... it's already dead but... you get the point .

Yeah, well done to crispy. Not too crisp.

I hate undercooked bacon. At least brown the bacon a little There is little worse than bacon that isn't brown anywhere, still pink all over, limp, and dripping in oil or fat.

Exactly! I always love to order bacon on hamburgers and the such when they offer it (most burger chains have them on the menue), but most of the time its undercooked and its like biting into something chewy and gross >< undercooked just dosn't cut it for me.

I like mine burnt until it's blackened. I have yet to have bacon made at any restaurant the way I like it.

Irish bacon? Is it actual bacon? In my experience, usualy [nationality] bacon turns out to be...well, not bacon (canadian bacon == ham ). Actualy never heard of Irish bacon though.

Well, I like my bacon to be crispy but not too crispy. Like they are when they´re normally cooked.

I love bacon.

Slightly crispy is good. I hate it when it's overly crispy, it's worse than chewy.

Chewy bacon is good on pizza, though.

I prefer canadian, above else. Other than that, I like mine with a nice crunch to it.

Soft bacon has its merits, though... For example, as we all know it goes well on pizza, but have you tried it on a salad? Real bacon bits, that is, not the fake kind that you get in Stop & Shop in a plastic can. They go extremely well like that.

Alternatively, bacon bits go excellently in tomato soup, making an actual tomato-bacon soup is a great little cooking adventure, and it's got just the right taste for someone looking for the great taste of bacon and tomatoes together.

In the Die at 30 Diet, bacon plays a supreme role above all other foods, going so far as to actually become its own food group on the DA30 Pyramid. A standard meal would have a nice, greasy cheeseburger with bacon bits on the burger, lettuce, cheese, and infused with the bun, with a side of bacon-flavored ice-cream, bacon-covered cheese pizza with nacho cheese sauce on the side for dipping, and a heaping plate of bacon for those of you who are keen-minded about your health. It's very suggested that one dips the bacon in the nacho cheese, as well, but not before buttering it thoroughly with non-fat-free vegetable oil spread. To wash it all down, get yourself a nice, warm, unsolidified can of lard (for those pesky arteries - we don't want them empty now, do we?), and finish the meal off with dessert, mkII: a completely-stacked bacon-cream pie, with bacon grease icing and a light, flaky crust made of -- you guessed it -- bacon.

As you can see, bacon is clearly an essential part of the Die at 30 diet. To learn more, buy my and my roommate's book: Die at 30: A Plethora of Dieting Tips to Ensure That You Drop Dead in Your Third Decade. Dig in!

I'm going to say crispy, but not so much that if you were to bend a piece of it, it'd snap in half Just enough so that it's not soggy. By far my favorite way to eat bacon (aside from just eating it plain) is to toast two pieces of bread, and put either some slices of cheese, or peanut butter on them, then put the bacon on top of that. Second in line would be hamburgers

I actually don't eat bacon all that much (as half the time I want some, it's been eaten already), but it's nice to have from time to time.

Since we're discussing bacon what do those of you that have eaten it think of the stuff that's pre-cooked, so all you have to do is warm it up in the microwave? I don't like it at all. It's far too dry for my tastes. However, we've only ever had the stuff one or two times, so we may have just gotten a bad box, but I'll take bacon that needs to be fully cooked any day

I'm getting tired of seeing the word "bacon"

I like my bacon still attatched to the pig's ass.

Pig is one of the foods I refuse to eat, granted their intelligence; smarter than most dogs, actually. I'd no sooner eat bacon, ham, or pork than I would fido.
