It won't work on SNES 9x for me, either. Why won't it work?

Other than the aforementioned freezing problems with ZSNES (Iggy's Castle and Start-Select), this is a fairly decent hack to play. As a super mega definite plus, I managed to make it to the first castle without the use of a single savestate or Continue. I did die, maybe once or so per level. Thankfully there were many extra life chances to make up for it.
Though, on that note: flying green koopas over a long stretch of water = tons o' nstant lives for even the most lackwit of players. The game doesn't register touching the water the same as touching ground would, so by jumping in and out of the water onto enemies (making sure not to kill them so they'll respawn when you scroll back to them), you can easily rack up the lives. Whether you're aware of this trick or not has yet to be seen, but I feel such opportunities are best left in well placed secrets to award the skilled player. If the hack's difficulty ramps up (I'm assuming it will) this may not be a bad thing, but at least make the player work for it. |

I have the latest snes9x, but i can not use it with my PC though.
Not sure why though, all i know is that is crashes on my PC. In short, all i can use is Zsnes. I thought that maybe it would be the ROM, so i re riped it from the cartridge. Anyhow, unless i can use Zsnes, im not going to be abale to play this hack. |

I know why this is happening. He edited the level enterence with Smallhackers Enterence repointer program. When you edit the level you repointed the enterence to In Lunar Magic, you must always open the enterence editor again and repoint the level. Otherwise it messes up the patch. In Lunar Magic when you lock a rom, it overwrites that level, which screws up the enterence and the patch.
The way that I avoided this was first to open the UNLOCKED ROM (I enpasize unlock because it won't open a locked ROM) in the enterence editor, then lock the ROM in Lunar Magic while the enterence program is still open. Close Lunar magic. THEN repoint the enterences. I had this problem too, and thats the best way I was able to overcome it. Also I apoligize to ghettoyouth for never finishing beta testing the hack. Life kept me real busy. |

This is a good hack! The blood and drug references (and a certain secret level) felt pretty out of place, but the level design was interesting enough to carry it through.

That would explain it. I thought something wasn't right when you beat it it turned red, and you could STAND on the water.

Ok... the hack is fabulous... Nintendo caliber material. the levels aren't too difficult and the old feel of my favorite Mario, SMB3 is there... one question though. In Castle#2 I got to the part where there is a giant sawblade and a pit of lava that seems impossible to jump over. I tried everything... even running on the spikes after losing my mushroom and I still can't make that jump... anyone know how to make it?? other than this slight issue I must say... fabulous job

Spin jump on the blade
That reminds me, you took out the *alternative* Castle #2 without any blood in the beta. Did you put it back for the final release? |

SSM picked up that hack yesterday and he thinks it's funny. But when I play it, it's amazing. I did caught SSM playing Kirby's level and I think that mansion is a little gross.
If it's hosted on my homepage my rating would be AO for Adults onlty instead of my usual rating T for Teen. I rate my hacks. |
