This really isn't that impressive. Look at the specs. Doesn't even use the real processors, it couldn't even use a variation? If the patent is up, why not go the whole way. If the system is inaccurate enough that things need to be EMULATED then it isn't worth my money, thats why I download free EMULATORS for a computer.
I would assume the patent on the SPC700 chip is up too, and considering a quick google search makes it entirely possible to still obtain this part reasonably, even a clone that reproduces its instruction set wouldn't be THAT hard for them to do. I don't know ;\ I'm just not really feeling this one. I'll stick to my own console clone projects and leave these for the masses who don't know any better. |

There are plenty of SNES games that don't use expansion chips. Or they could simply emulate those as well. |
