Yeah, it certainly seems intentional, but why not just give the early enemies terrible accuracy and/or pathetic attack power?

Rydain, I discovered those Zelda II glitches too; I also was pleasantly surprised to find that you could go through keyholes as a fairy, but that might have been intentionally programmed in and not a glitch.

In F-Zero I remember seeing some of the Sand Ocean course while driving on Silence; not until years later when hacking came into vogue did someone show that the programmers had put then on the same map to save space.

And in Baseball Stars I tried playing a game between two teams with a total of zero prestige. Rather than there being no fans and no money, the attendance is still 0 but the money piles up in an infinite loop!

There isn't any way of interrupting that loop and getting the money, is there? I wanted to do something with that when I hacked Baseball Stars, but I couldn't find the code in the ROM. I imagine the same glitch will happen in the hack.

Not sure if this is mentioned but in Super Mario Sunshine I realized that the harbor level is really close to other levels and they aren't in the background either they are animated and stuff I think they are all on the same map...

Which reminds me of another glitch I found in SMB3. I have no clue how I did it, but I started up the game and the map screen my innovatory was full of random items: Stars, Mushroom, Whistles even a couple anchors.

Sounds like the game didn't clear the memory correctly at startup. There were no glitch items?

Um... when I was young I was dicking around with SMB and found the Minus World all by myself. Does that count?

I also found one in La-Mulana recently... if you're low on life and get hit by an enemy who would do enough damage to kill you, but then immediately teleport using the Grail to another place (say, town) you'll appear there with no life; however, you can't do anything. You can walk around and you're invincible but you can't even access the subscreen, so... yeah.

Hey, I remembered some more! There were a couple games on the Gamecube where I fell off a level but didn't die. Super Mario Sunshine for instance. I was leaping around on the big mushrooms and I fell off but landed at the bottom of the bottomless pit (oxymoron ahoy). It's pretty weird down there, you can see through the island and stuff.

Nope, all of them where actual items. I know it couldn't have been from playing it previously, because 1. SMB3 didn't have a saving feature at the time of course and 2. I had never even knew there was an anchor in the game until that day...
