A few things.

Kickflip on my skateboard.
Do some HTML and PHP.
I can finally run .30 miles! Okay so it's not even 1 full mile, but I used to smoke, and this is big for me... I could barely run for 30 seconds.

I have a little trouble setting the clock on mine when our power goes out and my parents tell me to... but using one is cake.

My parents never had a microwave in our house. lol My little brothers bought them one this year for their anniversary. XD
But yeah. I moved to New York, and used one for the first time for something that wasn't popcorn(which I'd made at my aunt's house).

Conversation~thingy with my boyfriend and his best friend when I first moved there:

friend: Hey, let's make some [..I forget what they were called. >>].
me: ..what are those?
friend: ....WHAAAAT? You.. don't know what [..yeah] ARE? >0
me: ..um.. no? >>;;
friend: ..DUDE. EVERYONE has had those. They just.. have. Any one who has a microwave, has HAD these. >0
boyfriend: um.. She.. never had a microwave. XD
friend: ...I.. WHAT? *falls on the floor looking stunned(deliberately)* ..you're shittin' me, right? Tell me you're kidding. Oh. My. God. How can you NOT have had a microwave. Where did you live? A CAVE?
boyfriend: uh. Canada.
me: ..*laughs* There are microwaves in Canada. XD
friend: I GUESS NOT. >0
boyfriend: well.. uh. So do we want to make some, so she can see the MARVEL~ that is [..whatever]?
friend: oh HELL yes. There are YEARS of deprivation we have to make up for. YEEEEEEEARS, I tell you. You poor deprived child.
(later)
friend: How about we go watch some tv..
boyfriend: what do you want to watch?
friend: well.. I forget what's on now. *turns on the tv*
me: what's that? (I forget what it was, but something that I now know that pretty much EVERYONE has watched. >>; )
friend: ......OH. my god. PLEASE tell me you're kidding. I'm ..you're making me cry here, girl. Stop. Please.

Etc. I was deprived. lol

Tying my shoes. XD

No, not now... but it was pure hell trying to learn when I was a kid. I definitely felt accomplished.

Riding a bike would also be one of them, but after I learned I never wanted to do it again. Meh.

I can drive.

And um... I can pump gas into my car. I used to try helping my parents with that, and I could never do it. Ever. I thought I'd have to pay extra for someone to do it for me.
BUT NOW I CAN YAY

It's called "full service", Danielle.

And at least then they not only pump your gas, but wash your windows and all that fun stuff. As long as you want to waste your money.

They don't do that in Australia, at least not around here. It'd be awesome if they did. Instead you do it yourself, and if you DARE to try to clean your windscreen quickly, the arsehat behind you gets mad.

Colin: I DONT WANT to waste my money. I never did. I just... couldn't figure out how to put the nozzle into my car.
Plus, I can wash the windows for free while the gas is pumping. Full service (oh yeah, that's the term!) is such a waste of money. As if gas wasn't expensive enough already.

Oh, you can choose self or full service here. Usually gas stations on highways offer full service as the default option, since you really don't want to get out of your car to do all that.

Danielle: And THAT'S why you finally figured out how to do it all by yourself.

Being able to live with myself...

...seriously, my mom was very concerned about that. She didn't belive that I would do well myself, during to my laziness.

To be honest, I love the freedom I have now. I kinda prefer staying at the apartment than getting home even.

And oh, I can somewhat draw now without it looking like utter shit. There was just a few "tricks" I needed to learnt, and... well I should be able to make simple comics soon. xD Although that's really not basic...

And then that I finally overcome my shyness when it comes to actually buying and ordering stuff. Before I couldn't even order a pizza...

Ailure, ...eyeah. I agree. Living away from your parents is really nice in terms of becoming more responsible and stuff. It also helped me with the whole.. "And then that I finally overcome my shyness when it comes to actually buying and ordering stuff. Before I couldn't even order a pizza..." thing. I couldn't either. xD;
I was WAY too shy. My mom always did everything for me, for.. pretty much anything. Trips, school stuff, etc. Heh. Being more self-dependent is awesome. <3
It was nerve-wracking at first, but now I love it, and I'm proud of myself for being able to talk to people. ^^;
