Seems like an excellent torture device, but I'm sure the U.S. government wouldn't think of such a thing.
But I'm pretty sure that by harmless, Riku meant extremely painful. |

Hey, Grey. Remember Cannon Angel by Skaven? Same thing.
I mean, It's a start. Telestimulation. Just in this case it's pain instead of orgastic pleasure. I mean with that method they'd actually run out and want to get hit by a couple rounds of AP bullets, not already feel like they do. Now all we need to hear is when they do release it that it will leave permanent marks in their brain and screw them up for the rest of their days. And after the Indeo-Guanian War of 2188, it'll be banned. (edited by Hiryuu on 01-26-07 08:20 PM) |

Well, if you had thought for a moment you'd have realized that I was making a facetious remark. I want a link on the Japanese thing. I want some proof on that. I didn't watch some kids to lament about someone missing an episode Mythbusters.

I think it was called "Secret weapons of WWII" I found a wiki page but I didn't really feel like looking for it. Take a looka nd see if you can find it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_secret_and_special_weapons (edited by Tanks on 01-26-07 10:16 PM) |

I read the article and all I could think of was "box of pain" from the Dune movie. Go figure.

i woud like to say if they come up with new weapons we(usa) would probly make it worse mineing come up with weapons that might be stronger but more dengrous
and then who ever were in war with would make more weapons that are even more dengrous then we would do the same thing probly not in the same war though. (sorry if i missied spelled anything) |

Originally posted by AliceDoes it penetrate the body far enough to affect that? I'm thinking it goes at most a cm or less into the skin and... umm... aren't pacemakers a bit deeper than that? Ahh, yes, here it is: The system uses millimeter waves, which can penetrate only 1/64th of an inch of skin, just enough to cause discomfort. By comparison, common kitchen microwaves penetrate several inches of skin. The main issue with nonlethal weapons in general (assuming they're in fact not lethal, unlike rubber bullets and the like which actually have a chance to kill) is that they can be used in torture. Add things like this to people who ignore the Geneva Convention, and you get... serious abuse. Ideally things like that won't happen, though. |

Originally posted by Metal Knuckles And instead of using a wand, they use a gun. How creative. I'll bet that some past-book fanatic will use this to his advantage and say he was the author of the NEW Harry Potter, the one that's ripped, has a gun, and knows what "Fer Shizzle' 'mah nizzle'" means, even though he lives in the future. That weapon is useless against machines and bombs, which is what we're coming up with more and more these days. I say dump the thing and just blow the living sh*t out of your enemies with any best damn explody-thing possible. EDIT: Yes, I sound like I don't know what I'm talking about, but that's what I aim for. (edited by ZidaneIX on 02-01-07 12:02 AM) |
