I still need to work through VII actually.

If I had a PS2, I'd be getting it in a heartbeat... but I hear it's goooooooood. It's not overly long (hello, VII) but still has replay value and a bunch of optional stuff. Apparently it's not easy though.

Based on what I've seen... if you either like the DW/Q series or you just want a really good RPG, then grab it. Might end up being the RPG of the holiday season.

I thought it was alright. The music is great, as always.

I too still have to finish DQVII. Off topic, but what's the use of the second disk? I felt like cheating my way though a year ago and was able to finish the entire game and it never once asked to be switched :?

I haven't made it to the second CD yet. But I'm assuming it's probably side quests and additional worlds since there's a LOT of content in that game despite the simple graphics.

Then you didn't beat it. The second half of the game is on the second disk. You only seemed to beat it.

Spoiler:
on disk 1, you revive god, yes, but then god reveals himself to be evil and you have to switch to disk 2 and save the world from him.

You just stopped playing when it looked like you won. Didn't you notice that you could still go places and do stuff?

I love the dragons quest games, but I did not have time to see the battle system and screenshots of the game. I have played all the way up to the six dragon quest and they are good games. If I had money I could of gotten it when it came out.
