When I am installing WinXP(repair but not new install), the progress bar always stops at "34 minutes left", I've found an article about it, it said that I should disable the USB 2.0 function in the BIOS, I've pulled off my mouse and even disabled the whole USB function, but it didn't work, so anyone has a good solution?
Thanks a million

Why do you need to repair your WinXP installation? Usually when my XP installation is dead, I just reinstall the OS. You can reinstall WinXP without formatting--it just requires you to rename two directories. However, if you have excrypted your files, then I would not advise to fragging your current WinXP installation yet.

Oh I didn't mean that I repair WinXP installation, but I meant that there is an option which is "repair" (may be fix, mend, because I'm using a Chinese version).
Oh right, there is a dialog box asking me to insert the Geforce MX440 ... disk 4 or anything like that, but I inserted a CD that someone gave me years ago(no virus on it) and that's the driver for the MX440, and I've never seen such a CD named Disk 4. Then the screen went dark for several times(flashed for a while), and then stopped at 34 minutes left, so it may be a problem of that disc, am I right?

Disk 4 could also mean Diskette 4--Microsoft still supports the installation of operating systems with Diskette form for some unknown reason.

But anyways, what do you mean by "insert the Geforce MX440"? From the rest of the post, it sounds like you need to install a driver. Have you tried installing the driver from the installation kit from Nvidia?

I want to skip the driver install and then continue the installation program. Is that possible?
