How's that possible, that's gotta be against the law or something. No Michigan fan roots for Ohio State, just like no Cal fan routes for Stanford. That's why the Rose Bowl was hard, I didn't want either team to win, but it was an interesting game to watch. Now hopefully I can see some more SEC defeats coming up. Good bowl season so far.

I watched that Wisconsin - Arkansas game; it wasn't even close. I, frankly, expected more from the 'Hogs, but I knew Casey Dick wasn't going to help them put up points, and Mitch Mustain is still clearly too young to lead that team. Then again, you also have to question Houston Nutt's gameplan, because they were not able to really drive on that Wisconsin defense at all, and Marcus Monk rarely saw the ball.

I'm not a purebred Michigander. Only lived there four years. In fact, I never used to root for them until several of my friends went there.

Holy shit, that was an amazing game. Major kudos to Boise State to showing up and proving everyone (myself included) wrong. They really played their hearts out. Here's what happened in IRC right after that hook and ladder play to tie it up before regulation ran out:

-----My pick: Uh oh. Watch out for an upset here; Oklahoma's been great, even without Adrian Peterson and Rhett Bomar, but I can feel a bit of a surprise in the making here. Ian Johnson is good enough to maybe carry this team, and Zabranksy isn't a bad QB, either. Boise State in a shocker.
Just call me psychic. What a game... And what kind of night did Ian Johnson have? Game winning run and then marriage to the lead cheerleader on the field? How awesome is that?

Boise State - Oklahoma could use Peterson in this game.

What a kick ass game. The best thing was, boise didn't win by running trick plays the entire game, they were up in their faces, physical, and played one helluva game. Major props to them for putting up big for the WAC. It's going to be hard for any other bowl game to top that.

I dare say a "HOLY SHIT!" chant would've been in order, starting at, oh, about 1:40 left in regulation. God DAMN that was an amazing finish. And the two-point conversion? Three wide on the right, look right, BEHIND THE BACK to Ian Johnson, A WINNER IS BSU. When was the last time someone pulled off the effin' STATUE OF LIBERTY play in a game?

So... Boise State #2 or #3 in the year-end poll?

(They have to be top 5 just for the perfect record. Even with a weak schedule.)

Heh...

I bet against Notre Dame and still lost, b/c I thought it would be 2 touchdowns or less. When I left to go watch it I thought it was 6 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. Did LSU manage to score in 6 seconds? Gah. Terrible matchup, Notre Dame should not be in the BSC bowls if it wants to win a bowl game.

I knew ND had no place in a BCS bowl game this year, and that game proved it. They were throughly outclassed, and didn't have the play in the trenches nor the necessary speed to have a chance against LSU, rightfully one of the top five teams in the country. If anything, they should have been playing a team like Wake Forest, but what draws the fans goes in the crap system known as the BCS.

I wasn't hating on them, really. They fully deserved to be where they were in the BCS, they won the ACC after all. It's just that despite them being one of the "feel-good" stories of the year, I think they won a weak ACC and didn't have one of the more talented teams in the top-tier bowls this season. As a football fan and TV viewer, I would rather have seen Notre Dame play a team more at their talent level is all. LSU-Louisville would've been more interesting in my opinion.

I won't even address any of the previous grievances against the Gators in these forums, I'll just let it be.

Dude, like, everyone expected the Gators to win in a blowout, didn't they? What an odd game, overall. Terrible line play on both sides of the ball for the Bucks, and I suppose Nick will be rather upset about how his team fared.

God, that just makes this bowl season one of the worst ever. First my team loses in a disgraceful outing, then Meyer wins, I can't stand that guy, he's such a whiner it's just terrible. Anyways, not hatin on florida, just the coach of the team, but that was one ugly game, an ugly that can't be explained by two month breaks or injured speed demons, just ugly.

Um... OUCH?

I know people are contractually bound to vote for Florida as #1 in the poll but if anyone had guts, they should give Boise State a #1 vote. (Is it both polls where you have to vote for Florida as #1 or just the Coaches Poll?)
