I have no screens so far, as the rom is on my Dads pc, sorry dial ups. D: But this idea is a remake of the "Magikoopa Hallway" in Yoshis Island. I was going to use this idea in my hack, but I gave up on my hack, so I thought I'd post the idea and let other people use it.

To sum it up: Level remakes ARE NOT original. Too many hacks have them/are them.

Hmm. I know that, but I have yet to see a remake of a Mario World 2 level, and in my opinion, this area was actually a bit of a "boss" itself.

Edit: And its not exactly a remake. The layout is new.

If you want to be technical. It's just not really a new idea, though. Anyone can have a Magikoopa in an auto-scroll level without seeing this.

Edit: There's a whole hack with SMB2 levels in it, and I played one hack that copied the first SMB2 level in it.

He said Mario World 2, not SMB2.

Of course, seeing as there's officially no such thing as Mario World 2 -- Nintendo of America added that bit to the US release of Yoshi's Island for absolutely no reason -- it's easy to see why you would be confused.

I might as well try this someday.

Oh, I swore he said Bros. I don't think it is possibe to make a total YI level and make it work on SMW, however.

You'd be right to think that.

As a matter of fact, all of SMAS has been recreated in SMW; released or not.

My hack, Super Mario Alchemy, has one level that remakes Level 8-4 from SMB. Would I be better off scrapping that idea?

That was the only remake I had in mind, though...

Remakes=OLD'D. They're kinda fun at first, but once we got used to them they're NOT COOL.

In other words, they can be an excuse for lazy n00bs to make their hack look good.
