Wait... Is that the guide with the slick white cover?
The EBs over here has like 6 of 'em!

So yeah! The game's starting to get a lot more fun for me, now that a lot of things have opened up. We all know there's going to be a Master Sword, so no real spoilers there. But I havn't started the dungeon after that.

Curses to that mini-game at the fishing hole. This has to be the most frustrating thing in the whole game!

You're crazy. I beat every level of that using but 175 rupees. Easy.

Edit:

24:39. At the beginning of Hyrule Castle. 24 bugs, 60 poes. Hearts: 3.

I must've spent more than that already, and I'm only on around 1-9 or something.

Everything about it's easy except those damn hill+slope pieces. They always get me.

Well, that's his second run through the game.

My first run, I had everything a little before 40 hours. Didn't bother to find all the poes though.

25:55 is final time count, just before final boss. Yes, I opened the treasure room.

Treasure room seemed a little pointless. "Here's some green rupee's, more rupee's because you probably need 999 for the 100th time, here's some arrows and bombs that you won't use for the final boss", etc.

Oh well, its fun opening 15some treasure chests anyways I guess.

This game, is , without a doubt,
One of the most
Pretty Cool
games I have ever played

I give it a pretty cool, because, well,
Things could have been better

For one, Remember how in OOT you could, in a sense, choose what temples that you wanted to complete in the order you wanted to complete it?
It would have been nice in this game....

Edit
How the hell do you beat the game in 27 hrs?
I am only at the second to last temple and I have 40 odd hrs on it

I completed it last night at 47 hours in having collected 37 of the poes and just under half of the bugs.

I really like the game as it has a lot of new elements that work really well and perfects a lot of the Zelda designs and puzzles that came before it. Although I have a mixed reaction to the last few dungeons which took on a strange Metroid Prime-esk design to them.

Some of the storyline was a bit questionable in terms of continuity but overall worked really well. Still why people are saying it is the first Zelda game to have an open ended story and left room for a direct sequal is odd. The opertunity to have a direct sequal doesnt seem any more than it was on previous titles.

Plugging OoT back in it definately is still my favourite Zelda for originality and nostalgia's sake but I don't like to compare the Zelda 3D games as they all have very distinct and new gameplay elements that seperate them enough from one another.

Roll on the next Zelda...

"You have completed 89.766666666667% of The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess."

It would have probably been over 90 if I had survived the last level of Cave of Ordeals.

I finished the game in 50:33 btw.

EDIT: Just tested what the percentage would have been if I did beat the Cave of Ordeals. It is 95.766666666667%

63.92 for me. I'm skipping a lot of poes and I haven't done the Cave yet.

I just entered City in the Sky. Damn NP guide neglects to mention poes in the walkthrough.

(AND HEART PIECES. NICE BACKTRACKING.)

EDIT: Also has no Lantern Cave maps, no map of that ice cave in the north, and it skipped all the heart pieces in Lakebed (unlike all the other temples), and it doesn't call the enemies by their names (Stalfos=skeleoton warrior, Chillfos=ice creatures/skeletons). A NP guide....

I used one of the walkthroughs on Gamefaqs to get that much. Otherwise, I wouldn't have 18 hearts or have found all the Poes. The only other thing I'm missing is 8 bugs and that is pretty much it.

On a side note, has anyone found a way to do rollgoal easily? I'm stuck at 1-8 (600 to 30 rupees) and it pisses me off. I just fucking caught the
Spoiler (fish):baby Hylian loach in the Zora grave
and said fuck it, but I reeeaaalllly want the frog lure for some reason.

Can't see how Alastor only lost 175 rupees. Video game god.

EDIT: Just beat Zant and the Cave. They ruined Zant with the psychotic jumping and crap. And I thought he was cool. The three Darknuts were SOOOOO cheap. I had to use the goddamn magic aromoer to get two of their armors off. I ended with 3/4 of a heart and 005 rupees. And no godamn heart piece or crap. Pft.

This game was really fun. I was having a great time. Then I got to the cannon room. I had to go to work so I saved it. Then, hours later, I loaded it. Then I jumped into oncoming traffic shortly thereafter.

Obviously I have to run into the only game-ending glitch in the whole game after 32 hours of playtime. I never look up walkthroughs or go to youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkB53h2M5Pw&mode=related&search=) because I want to respect myself in the morning. Call me old-fashioned but I like playing through games at my own pace without all the answers all the time. I can really only blame myself for this. I can't rely on Nintendo seeing everything in all of their games in all circumstances round the clock if they can't rely on me to...never ever save a game ever. Looks like it's back to the drawing board.

At least it's a good game. Reminds me of Final Fantasy V in that the game is awesome until I get to a certain point. In Twilight Princess it was the brick wall I hit because it's the only game over 30 hours I've played without having two same files for it. In Final Fantasy V it was...well...if you don't know than play it. It's good...really it is. Until X happens. Unfortunately X is not a glitch...it's part of the story and that's Squaresoft's fault.

Anyway Twilight Princess is still awesome despite horrible teeth-gnashing glitches that make you want to throw the Wii Remote at your Plasma screen just like they wanted you to do.

I'm proud of myself I guess. When it comes to every Zelda game I've played, once I enter a dungeon ... I'm not leaving it or I don't stop playing it until I've completed it.

Though, as you said there's always time constraints. So I don't blame you a bit.

If you ever go back to play it though, you can zoom through it fairly quickly. I remember getting to the 4th dungeon or around that at just ~10 hours during my second 3-heart run.
