Wow, so many replies!!! Actually last time I chatted with Danicess was when she emailed me to tell me what WoW server she was on, but she never told me her character names :-(. I don't know if she still plays it or not... and impatiently waiting for the expansion next year :-) I miss chatting with her on the boards, in IRC and on AIM. All I can do is cross my finders and hope that there is a nagging feeling for her to come visit

I beat Zelda so that's why I'm not off playing it ;-) Very fun game.I refuse to spoil it since I would severly harm anyone who did for me. But I can say that the facial expressions are very well done and lend themselves very well to drawing you into the story line, the emotion and the world as a whole. A must play in my book. And since it's also going to be for the gamecube eventually, you don't necessarily need a Wii to play it!

YD: Hey Dudette! :-) How have you been? Haven't seen you in a while, still on IRC regularly? I'll have to try and install Klient again soon so I can come on and say hito everyone there. I know a lot changed on that front as well. Any one know the server info off hand?

XKeeper: Hey there, So some one want to tell me how this guy made admin? :-P I remember when you were still a newbie around here. Wow that must have been a while ago. Doesn't feel like 2 years but it has been a while, I know that much. Acmlm come on much any more? Maybe Femine? :-P

Rydain: Wow! cool costumes, I see you've gotten more serious about cosplay design since I last talked to you. I hope everything is going very well! I've been wathing more and more Anime as time goes on, came back from Fragapalooza (biggest LAN party in canada) with a 320GB drive filled with anime. Still sifting through it all. Recent fav's from other sites, would be Air Gear and Utawarerumono. And I can actually pronounce the latter!! :-P Soo many nice series' out there.
What was your NaNoWriMo draft about? I'm glad all your excersize is paying off! I remember seeing pics of you I'm sure your costumes flatter even more!

Kirb: Hey there!! Ohh, what kind of tablet? I have one of those. nothing big. 1GHz proc and half a gig of memory with 40GB HD. It's got 1 dead pixel but XP Tablet edition is very cool, I'm afraid to install Vista on it , though I have the final copy on my main computer. So much faster that that it's the RTM copy in case any of you are interested and tried any of the Beta or RC versions. Very cool OS, and Office 2007 is sweet too. I'm scared, microsoft appears to be doing something right o.O. Still in touch with Sprout??

Kasumi-Astra: Hi!! Good to see you're still around too! I hope everything is well with you, I'm sure you'll love Twilight Princess. It's a great story and the way they tell it is very well done in my opinion. There are no voiceovers for dialog but they do something a little different for the companion that accompanies Link. And I'm sure you'll find it VERY cute, I love it.

Valcion: Wow, so you've actually stayed with that screen name huh? I thought for sure you'd have changed it by now ;-) Still involved in a lot of the emulation hacking and what-not? Or is that more of a off and on hobby now? I know I wish I had the time for more of it :-(.
I WISH she was playing WoW with me :-( I can't get Sarev0k to play WoW, he thinks it will suck out his soul. Can't say I blame him, it probably will, and then some, but it's soo good ;-)

Anya: Don't tease me, I can't help but think of her now when ever I hear clipboard snap. I would say I'm traumatized by it but I ended up trying to protect her when people tried to retaliate inchat so that's not really tramatizing. :-) How are you doing?? Not much going on with you recently??

Jeff: Yeah, I haven't been on RO in a long time. every time I came back the server had moved/changed. Plus as much as I LOVE being a GM and running events, contests and everything it didn't allow as much flexability as I wanted. Would be so cool if it did :-( I still enjoyed things like the mass poring hunt for the crystal rose, and the portal maze, if you were around for those. ;-)

Grå: Yeah I haven't been on RO in a long time. I used to be a Fullmod here, before school got more active. That and when the board first crapped out every oned opted to start over. I still miss my id of 177.... And don't mock me because I remember it, I'm sure others oldbies remember theirs too :-P Hehe

Jilkon: It's like telling you the ending of a movie before it ends. Sure the good guys usually win but that's not the best part ;-) Plus, you can never tell if the good guys truely win or not. Sometimes a win can feel like a loss. And besides it's Zelda, how can yiou resist? :-P

NSNick: I Know!! I need to get my webspace back up or something.... Wish I still had my domain. I've thought about getting another domain, just haven't decided on a name yet... Any suggestions?

Alastor: WHat!? Ok, that's it.... >sends the nebiws over to Alastors' place to drop packets....<

Plus Sign: Really? Next time tell her Yarx is looking for her! :-P At the very least I'd like for her to say hi to ONE of us so we can all know she's doing well :-P

Yoronosuku: you're probably right, but if you're an active member here we're already friends ;-) But I was looking over a few threads, and and from the looks of the pics in the costume thread, you're very cute!

Vyper:, No actually I remember you're name from the boards and such. I don't remember any convorsations you were in but I remember the name at least!! :-)

Thexare: Yeah if it was a different name there is no way I'd remember what it was, but either way, this board ties people together for life ;-)

Colin: Hey man! Nice to see you again too. Keeping the place intact for the most part huh? With the exception of the odd database wipe? and move? and.... uhm, is there more? :-P

Racer Xeo: Yeah I miss my Zelda layout. :-( I need to try and get that thing back on to a website sometime. Maybe even my zelda font too!

Blades: Actually it was a Sony Battery problem and it affected pretty much everyone. We just got the most coverage because of the large percentage of the marketplace Dell has, plus we were the first to acknowledge the problem and recall the batteries because of it ;-) Actually I like working for dell. I'm doing application design and reporting there now. Making and maintaining internal programs used by our site. Pretty cool stuff. Has anyone here who is a programmer seen some of the stuff in .NET 3.0 and Vista? You should really check out Microsoft expressions and XAML with .NET 3.0. Think windows application programming in .NET combined with Flash quality vector based user interfaces. It's really sweet looking. Moves interface away from the programmer and more to the graphics artist/UI designer. Very cool stuff.

I'm stoked to see so many familiar faces... erm, aliases! And a lot of new ones too. At least the site is still here, but then again I doubt it'd ever just go away. Too much of a following in this palce :-)

Edit: Lol, glad to see the smilie support hasn't changed :-P

The *odd* database wipe? We've been through waaaaaay too many for my liking.

More like server moves, downtime, etc... less drama and more technical glitches.

Technical issues huh? I guess that would explain the "Last View" time for myself when I open a page being a negative number? :-P

irc.esper.net #rohmacking (not a typo, damnit)

Various people will give you different info depending on what kind of crowd you're looking for.

And I got administrator/coder by sheer dumb luck. Really, ask ||bass -- I just kind of got lucky after everyone else (hi Jesper!) left...

Acmlm still shows up on occasion but not nearly as often as before, Femine ceased to exist a while ago (), and ... well, aside from that, not much.

Yarx - Thanks! I have other costumes in the works, but I'm not sure when they'll be done. Now that I'm not writing frantically, I can get back to work on them.

Dissonance, my NaNoWriMo story, is about an average guy who thinks he's going insane. It was inspired by a dream I had a while ago that looked like the beginning of a horror movie or video game. It was a top-down view of a thirtysomething man sleeping restlessly, and I knew that there was something in his house and he was going to wake up and gather his things and climb out the window and run away. I'd be happy to send the rough draft your way if you'd like to read it. I'm in the process of revising last year's novel, Resonance, which is about a person stuck in someone else's nightmare. I love writing rubber reality horror.

Of course I'm in touch with Sprouty!

I'm kinda scared to try vista out.. I was told it would work just fine, but I'm still too scared I've got that one that was advertised by Gateway a few months ago on tv (the m280, I think). I don't know if you saw it, but it was advertised for a bit.. and then they went on to advertise a more expensive model..

Though, I am enjoying Office 2007. Oh, and One Note! Why haven't you been in my life earlier!?

Anyway... When're you gonna appear on AIM? I've got a message or two to convey

Rydain: Cool, sounds a little different than the types of novels I read. Though it does remind me of Donny Darko...

Alastor: Or are you lying NOW? I can never tell now you have planted the seed of doubt. Plus I'm just plain confused. Both tend to mix things up a bit... ;-)

Kirb: I'm heading back east to spend christmas with family very soon (Saturday morning on be on the plain). but I'll try and jump on and see if I can catch you on AIM or the like. You should try Vista, I have it on both of my comptuers as of yesterday. It's sweet, the install was faster than XP! But yeah I know what you mean about OneNote, especially for tablet PC's, but even if you don't have a tablet it's ptretty cool.

Valcion: Yeah it was a RP realm. If I recall it was Lightning Hoof or something. I can check later if you like. Just run around the server "Any one know a girl named Dani?!" :-P

Alexa: No, didn't vanish completly. :-P Just had a bunch of stuff come up at work and I haven't been online recently. Playing with my Wii.

After work tomorrow I'm off until the new year. WOOT!!!!

Whoa Yarx, dont know if you remember me at all. I was prolly banned when you were around. About the whole windows Vista thing, I honestly dont think I will ever install an OS from Microsoft thats Vista+ because of its Terms of Use and "contract." I hope you are doing well and hope to stick around more often.
