I don't own a Wii, but I played the demo at the local Gamestop. Excitetruck was kinda cool, but the damn controller was so damn unresponsive. Yeah, left definatley means straight. Has anyone else experienced weird crap with their Wii controllers? (Please say its not in Zelda!)

Nope, it was probably a defective controller, or the sensor bar was thrown off.

Well, that sounds good. I used their other controller too and it sucked the same. It's probably either Excitetruck or the sensor bar. Eh, hope Zelda ain't glitchy.

It is thrown off by halogen lights and sunlight.

The sensor bar was probably poorly placed. I havn't played ExciteTruck first hand, but having played the Wii, all I can say is that the controller is typically not an issue.

The sunlight theory sounds the most logical. As for the controller not being an issue, I will lean to agree until I see Galaxy. It'll either suck or be GREEEAAAT!

I've played Excite Truck myself, didn't have any problems; I'm leaning towards a hardware problem

Hopefully. The only worry about that is "OH NO, WHAT ABOUT ZELDA!?" Eh, it'll work out ok. I hope.

Well controllers with analog sticks tend to get worn quite quickly at stores... though this isn't the case. Might just been badly places by the store employers. :/

It could also be the usual demo-unit damage. It always happens.

Eh, I guess it was just a shitty unit. Oh well. Hope the Wii I get will not suck as much. By Wii, I mean Twilight Princess.

Yeah, those poor DS's I've seen ...

But yeah, the position of the sensor bar makes all the difference. I simply had it above my TV for awhile, then put it under and it was like a whole new world opened up. Its definitely essential to have it in a good place.

I'm sure you need to adjust the bar and all that to find the best fit for yourself... it's common sense.

I heard a few stories about defective Wii's but Nintendo's sending out new units to those people right away. Now if you had a defective PS3...

Get out of here, fanboy. I may not particularly care for the PS3, but god damn it, if you paid good money for the PS3 and it fails on you then that most definitely does not serve you right.

My Wii is quite responsive. I was surprised at how quickly it responds to my movements, in fact.

Yeah, every Gamecube controller at the McDonalds in the town I used to live in was broken every time I went there, and the units themselves were starting to die. Though personally I did find the Gamecube controllers far too delicate and I hope Wii is better in this aspect.

This is b/c people who get to play with the interactive tend to f'up the controller in some way. That's why my Xbox 360 interactive is broken, damn people don't know how to treat things with respect.

Besides if you wouldn't get a replacment for a failing unit the customer agency would get on the case.

It's funny how much I happen to hate fanboys despite me never owning other consoles than Nintendo's.

Could've been worse, look at the N64 controllers
