How would I be able to replace the characters in paragraph tags with images on a website using javascript or CSS? I need it for a site I'm working on to keep the layout "uniform". Any help would be appreciated.

It might be easier to go the other way, replacing images with characters. Otherwise, look at [object].innerHTML.

For the love of christ please don't use .innerHTML, It's not DOM compliant.

That's a decent blawg entry on the subject.. I guess it's _okay_ to use it.. it's just not good practice.
