Okay, I realize pokemon hacking is considered a a taboo among even skinning small children with cellphone chargers, but I have questions and I am hoping to get answers. The basics being about utilities.
Quite simply, for hacking Pokemon Blue, what are the best Text, Graphic, Map editors? Is Hex an effective hacking measure, or would I need to learn something else? ~ Next bit is really more organized questions that I find to be at least minorly important. And it will be numbered for convinence. 1. Is it possible to force the game to start with a party of pokemon? I.E., A bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander and a Pikachu from the start. 2. Is it possible to remove the catching feature by simply removing pokeballs from all stores and events? 3. Likewise, is it possible to remove the link to Bill's P.C.? 4. Can evolution be disabled to make every pokemon it's own independant monster? I.E., breaking the link from Charmander to Charmeleon and from Charmeleon to Charizard. 5. If you force the party, will all the pokemon automatically be registered to you? As in, you can change their names? ~ Because someone is bound to ask, I have been considering and toying with the idea of a pokemon hack in that you would be playing as a fixed party of four that could later be added onto up to six with the use of the fossils and the Amber, though altered as it were. When the project seems more or less figured out, I will get to more specifics. |

Asking questions like: Is it possible to do X... or can you do X... are rather pointless. A more pointed question would be "how hard would it be do X thing?" Of course these things are possible given time and effort, as long as the system it's running on can handle it. The question is more of your own capability. Do you have the capability to do what you want to do at this time? If not, you have some learning to do. | |||

DD answered your questions, and MoN is right. There's an thread for discussing various editors out there, and if you googled you'd see theres an abundance of Pokemon hacking resources (as well as entire communities who would be more than happy to answer your questions much better than we could). |
