Mine would have to be Star Fox 64. It also happens to be one of my favorite games as well. It had the best game-play of all the Star Fox games, and the music was great as well. The others just... Didn't seem as great as SF 64.
What do you think?

DO A BARREL ROLL

...er I mean Star Fox 64. For incredible, incredible replayability. I have no idea what makes that game so astoundingly fun, but it is...

I'm a fan of the original. It just seemed more fun and creative than Star Fox 64, and had some absurd quotes of its own (in particular, everything ended with "!!"). No need to (be forced to) worry about stupid medals or anything either - you just start and shoot.

LOLOMGWTFBBQ how could you forget a game that had a totally real release so ceremonious it rocked the gaming world?

Except kinda not.

Anyway, I'd vote for SF64, but I really need to play command and I better not pass judgement before then. Plus, Starfox 64 was a bit on the easy side, if I recall. It just felt more fun than incarnations. More style than substance, perhaps, but what it did have was great. Remember the train guy or the guy who said he gave up then turned around and blasted you? Fantastic bosses, and I think the enemies in the levels seemed a bit more interesting to me, too. I just think you got a bit more out of it than the admittedly impressive original StarFox, though SF1 I'm sure was more impressive for its time.

I think I'll download SF2 right now to see what that's all about.

Ha, who'd vote for Star Fox Adventures?

Hey, that was a good game, I don't know why people- oh, I thought you said Assault.

I haven't played Command, and probably won't for a while (no DS), but I've played all the others, and my favorite is Starfox 64. Starfox and Starfox 2's controls just didn't feel right for some reason...

I had to vote for Assault
Although the random Star Wars-esque quotes from Star Fox 64 were good
(Never give up! Trust your instincts!)

I liked the other gameplay types of Assault (third-person shooter)
Also, I really enjoyed blasting baddies from the side of an Arwing
If multi-voting was enabled, I'd be voting Star Fox 64 as well.

Mine would have to be Star Fox 2, for those who know about the beta. I always loved How you were free to fly around and attack where ever you pleased. and then you could morph into the walker! yes, that would hve been a good game.

SF64 for me. It is dear to my heart and the one I enjoyed the most.

I actually went looking for it a month ago in two stores. Didn't find it. Such a shame. I could order it but, eh, I'm lazy like that.

Y'all suck. Say yes to fun courses, actually listenable music, and a lack of stupid voice acting. Also... I don't know why but I prefer untextured polygons over... you know. In case you haven't figured it out, my comparison is Star Fox the original > Starfox 64. The other games are.... well let's see I've played Starfox Adventures, which just felt like a Zelda game but with furries in it. Command is ... okay but the time limits are obscene, and the levels where you actually do fighting are pointless. I'm glad I didn't buy it, I just... um, "previewed" it, yeah. Starfox Assault I want to try but my Gamecube controllers are with a friend right now so there's no point. Starfox 2 was fun but I only really enjoyed the VS. mode while playing with a friend. Most emulators at the time I found it couldn't support the game without it randomly crashing.

It still does it for me, but I got a patch that fixed some of those problems (but not all) and translated it to English.

Starfox: amazing graphics for the itme, creative, good music, difficult, good control, excellent level design...

Starfox 64: same as Starfox, except better everywhere. Yes, slightly easier... but it's probably the most fun... Although the original has nostalgia value and some really original bosses, due to the overall level design, Starfox 64 wins.

Starfox 2: It's a beta. It's incomplete. It's buggy. NEXT!

Starfox Adventures: Yes, good Zelda-like with some nostalgia-inducing Arwing sequences... but sadly, the Zelda-like parts are inferior to an actual Zelda (enemies especially are pushovers and the bosses are pretty lousy as a whole. Difficulty not up to par and technology/magic mix isn't always a happy mix) while the Arwing sequences, although nearly flawless, suffer from the health system (you can take WAAAAY too many hits) which make these a joke.

Starfox Assault: Arwing missions? YAY! Story? Somewhat YAY! Foot missions? NO! Half the game being foot missions? NO NO! Game being short AND linear? OH NO! What do this means? Well... foot missions aren't quite as good and make up half of this shorter game. Bummer.

Starfox Command: Best Starfox ga... WAIT A MINUTE! What is that suck-ass control scheme?!? Lack of actual levels?!? I DEMAND MY MONEY BACK! Don't get Starfox Command. Its stylus-only control scheme (WHY WHY WHY?!?) and lack of real missions will kill your interest quickly, believe me.

Winner: Starfox 64, close second place to the original.

That was my opinion. Thank you everyone.

1. I forgot it existed. (Because I heard about it once and never bothered to learn about it)
2. I made the Other just in case I forgot something.

You forget: It is very near completion (pretty much everything is finished), works fine in certain emulator versions, and even has a translation patch that can make it as close to the intended final version as possible.

Definatly Star Fox (or Starwings) and Star fox 64 (or Lylat wars). Worst one would be Starfox adventures, which is decent the first time through but HAVE NO REPLAY VALUE. :/ It's more ab out puzzles than defeating stuff, since monsters are pathetic apart from bosses. Starfox assault was decent, though there could been room for improvment. I dunno where to put Starfox2 since I dunno what emulator that plays it without crashing and I hadn't played that DS game.

OBJECTION!!! *slams table*

I rather enjoy the stylus-only controls, for what little exposure to them I've had. They're tough to adapt to at first, but when you consider that every single button is fire, and the stylus, if you learn to be smooth and steady with your movements (which is what the DS manual suggests anyway), is every bit as good as a control stick. Alternatively, you could use the thumb controls. They pack in that holding strap with your DS for a reason.

I picked Others because the Star Fox 2 beta for SNES is clearly the best one.

Let's continue shall we?
Annoying bird, I AM THE GREAT LEON!!
Fox, get this guy off me! (I'm gonna KILL YOU Slippy!)
etc. etc. (we oughta make a SF64 quotes thread)

You guessed it, SF64, although Star Fox 2 comes in second. That really would have been a great game, if not for the random crashes even after patching it. I'll admit, I thought Starfox Adventures wasn't that bad, except for the Zelda-ish thing and the fact that a lot of the items were only good for one place, then completely useless afterward. Plus I saved right before fighting Andross, meaning I couldn't have fun exploring (one of the few crappy things about Earthbound).
