I dream about this house I used to live back in 2000 through 2002 and the dreams are random, but its where I lived back then and these dreams I've been having about the house I've lived in those years tells me to comeback for some reason. I have them more than any other random dream. Maybe I should go back to where I lived those years just to get the feeling back because those years were the best. Anyone you people have the same issue when having a dream then tells you to go back their because you've been having almost the same dream than any other dream?

This is scary... I have those old house dreams too... In my dreams, I always want to relive my childhood days back at my old house (which just happens to be half a mile away from my new one... figure that...)

For maybe a year or two I had a dream taking place at this old bridge in town at least once a month. Never did find out why.

"Time flows like a river and history repeats"
I dunno it sounded good. I keep dreaming of this old castle that is full of antique suits of armor but in my dream they are all shiny and brand new like they were just forged. |

ugh, dreams... you think those ones are scary...
ever hear of "lucid dreaming"? if not go check wikipedia. I happen to have been getting constant vivid NIGHTMARES. they also have many "false awakenings" in them (also, check wikipedia) and many = 2-5 times in one dream. I KNOW they're lucid dreams because Im like "oh shit, not another one of these dreams [or nightmares]..." right when they start. Im not sure how many times I actually woke up last night, because they always appear right in my bed, (most of the time) in an exact replica of my room, with people/tv/music/full interaction with everything as if it were the real world. it gets even scarier because I just moved and my mind has seemingly recorded my new home already (a bit less than a month now). the only way I've found to (quite literally) wake myself up from these nightmares is to start by envisioning a name of someone and focusing totally on that. At first, I usually cannot speak the name of whomever it is. then I focus harder, and start to whisper the name, and continue on until I'm yelling in the dream, and in real life too. it sort of establishes a connection to my conscious from my unconscious mind, thus bringing me to an awake, however startled, state. I can even remember the dreams for some time (until my short term memory throws them away). I don't care what psycology says, I for one know it to be true. It happens to me all the time, and I think it's because Im highly stressed out, angry, jealous, scared, and full of all sorts of greed and desires, all at the same time, every day. Im not sure if there is a correlation between my emotions and these dreams though -- for the dreams do not mimic my emotions, but try to simulate (a more horrific) version of real life. It's so wiered... it seems more like traveling to a parallel universe than a dream. they continue on if I go back to sleep too. Every time, until I fall asleep for the 3rd or fourth time. Hell, I don't even need an alarm clock anymore, because I constantly wake up (with or without the dreams) about an hour earlier than it goes off (every day too, no matter when I fall asleep). it gets annoying too. I never seem to get any rest from those dreams, and I have to continue on with school/practice/stuff I want to do. there was one point last summer, where I was having similar dreams like that every day for more than a month. and they were NOT the same dreams -- just all vivid, and nightmares. and no, I'm not on any drugs at all. nor have I been in any recent time period. (had perscriptions, like, 10+ years ago). I dont know if you guys will believe me or not, just telling my story... but if anyone thinks they can help me get rid of these horrific things, please do tell me. |

Get rid of them? Dude, you can do anything you want in a lucid dream. Turn it into a fantasy!
Hm, last night I dreamed my, my mom and my brother were all walking to some foreign country. We headed North until we hit Sweden (I should mention I live in Canada ), which took all day but felt like a 20-minute walk. My brother played Game Boy along the way and I commented on how GBC can toggle its CPU speed or something. When we arrived late at night we stopped at some random person's house (a friend's, I suppose) to sleep, but all we really ended up doing was watching TV, drinking, and running from a pair of bees which I thought had some connection to the ARM7 and ARM9 processors in a Nintendo DS. (Probably from watching Invader Zim before bed; he had a run-in with a bee as well.) Of course having never been to Sweden I have no idea what it looks like or what the language sounds like, so in my dream it looked just like Canada (one of the places there was actually a place here) and everyone spoke English. I didn't meet anyone from the board but they came up briefly in conversation. This was an interesting demonstration of those "half-dreams" I mentioned in another thread. As I was waking up I had a small conversation with myself in my dream. "Wait, why is everyone speaking English?" "Because how can I dream about a language I don't know?" "Oh crap that's right, this is just a dream isn't it" *wakes up* Crazy. |

I'd talk to a psychiatrist about that one. As for the bridge, mine were just odd, no death involved.

In one dream I almost couldn't see anything, everything was black though there was a fade slight hint of light but it as like my eyes were closed and I felt a little paralyzed and trapped. If I tried to get up, it was like I was back in bed a second later. Took a few seconds to wake up from, and that was probably the worst part becuse I probaby paniced. I'm not surprised if I even screamed before I woke up, but I never heard that. I still have a suspcioun that I did somehow...

Most of my dreams are forgotten too fast to remember.
I did have a few that I can still remember specific details of to this day (even some, uh, embarassing ones, but still).. None of mine have any meaning that I can readily attribute to anything, though a few of mine could be considered pretty weird (like driving with my father on a freeway, only to end up careening off the end of the road hundreds of feet in the air) or just plain fucked up (watching my "real" self walk out my bedroom door, then watching my dream avatar walking out behind it, following it inthe 3rd person, and then exiting my house onto a giant hilll and turning around to find it's disappeared... there's more weirdness (best memory of a dream yet) but that's all for now) ... I've had a few where I've, say, sat on my father's small brick wall with a board member and conversed about LUE... heh I've only had one lucid dream so far (that ended seconds after I said "Hey, cool, I'm dreaming")... ... Interestingly, I did have an interesting experience today. I seem to have fallen asleep, but I wasn't actually sleeping but I couldn't move at all (nor did I -want- to -- I was just unable to care) ... I don't remember all of it but I just laid there for hours doing nothing, not sleeping but not being awake either. .... Yeah... |

I saw a dream once where I was on one farm and my job was to slap cow's asses.
I got money from it. Approx. 1 € a slap. It was pretty weird and all that, but years after the dream, As me and my friend were walking down the street, My friend saw an old friend of his, and promised to give me 1 € if I'd slap her ass. The girl had a white coat with black spots on it. I was pretty scared that moment. |

Originally posted by Xkeeper All 3 of my lucid dreams went like this: *something odd happens* Me: Hey, that makes no sense... I must be dreaming! *I fly into the air* *I wake up after 2 seconds of flight* I think the realization that I'm defying physics wakes me up. People say it's best to start small and just get a feel for controlling your dream before you do anything crazy. Thing is my memory isn't really operational at that point so I never recall this advice or my past experiences, so the first thing I do is always flying. And of course I've only had 3 in my life, years apart; never successfully caused one. I don't remember them all but I know in every case my brain's logic system turned back on, causing me to realize something didn't make sense and I thus must be dreaming. (In the one I remember, I saw a dog of mine that had died a few months ago, and realized she was quite alive despite having died before.) Normally I never get that "WTF, this makes no sense" trigger in dreams, no matter how little sense things make, which leads me to believe the logic system is turned off. Hey, come to think of it, that would explain why all logic melts away and goes out the window when I get really really sleepy (start thinking the cat has a Z80 CPU or something). I tend to remember my dreams a lot. Sometimes I wish I didn't. heh. >>
Oh, and I have 'lucid dreams' a lot. :< Where I can kind of vaguely control what I do, and whatnot. I daydream a lot too. XD Especially in boring classes. (And no, I'm not talking about what any of them are, because there are just toooo many. ..And other stuff. *whistles and wanders away*) |

I remember once finding a post on a private board of a method called the Suneye method which apparantly has a very high success rate, and can also be used for Astral projection. Here it is, for thse who are interested.
