Is it a good thing when putting the AC adapter while playing games a good idea? I usually don't use my AC adapter to play my games, but does it also save time because without the AC adapter I'll have to charge is later on that takes 4 hours. Which is a better way?

It's perfectly fine to use the power adapter while using the DS, I do it all the time.

If you're DS overheats it'll be because you're playing it too long, not because it's charging. Although having it charging allows you to play it for longer. I don't think the DS has much problem with overheating though.

It'll be fine. I do that all the time. Don't worry, if your DS gets warm, it probably because your handsa re heating it up. Atleat... that's the only reason mine ever gets warm

If it did overheat...put it in your pants for those cold winter days.

Does anyone else's DS adapter make a high-pitched noise when it's charging or turned on?

Mine does that, so I never charge it when I'm sleeping, else I'm annoyed all night and I'll have a headache.

And... this isn't the 80s anymore, you don't need to fear overcharging recharable batteries anymore, they have built-in safeties against it.

Mine makes that noise as well. Mine does get pretty hot when I'm playing with Nintendo wifi connection and during those hot hot summer days I've almost had it freeze up during New Super Mario Bros.

Any adapter for DS/GBA SP I used is noiseless, but then they're all made for 60 hertz and 230 voltage.
