Blaaah It came out today in Japan. A friend back home is supposed to be getting me a copy, I don't know when to expect it, but I'll keep you all posted on how it is once I get my hands on it.

Anyway, people already ripped the status screen sprites from the game (it was dumped already...hahah), which you can see here, showing you basically every new Pokemon in the game. Crazy I'm pretty excited about this game. Any one else looking forward to it?

Hrm. I suppose I should ask for a release date for american audiences, but I could probably look it up...

I'm concerned. We're gonna be getting a lot of preorders.

And speaking of pokemon, it's been confirmed: Apparently this Saturday you can come to Toys R Us's across the nation and get a Mew traded to your GBA games... I'm really, really, really not looking forwrad to that. Crap darn it.

Considering how shaky DS emulation is at the moment, I'm not as excited about it as I would be. I don't think it would be worth buying, personally, but a play-through wouldn't be too bad at all. I just have low expectations this time considering the last wave of games (R/S/E). I could find my way through it despite it being in Japanese if I were to be able to get a good copy. The new ones don't look so bad, eh.

Well, RSE was quite a good series, but it took a ton of getting used to and the graphics were they made a steep improvement in Fire Red/Leaf Green and I'm happy to say they've at least been consistant to that graphical style. As for in-battle sprites, it also seems pretty faithful, the behind images look like they've been faithful to the style and I wonder just what they did with the old Pokemon's backs. Though the Geodude I saw from up front had me a little worried ._.

I don't know what to think or even expect from this game, I purposely havn't kept a whole lot of tabs on it in order to help surprise myself. Sure enough, I have a feeling it will do just that--whether it will be a pleasant surprise remains to be seen however.

I really found G/S/C a lot more fun than R/S/E.

Undenyable, GSC was my favorite in the series. However, it would seem a lot of GS features we knew and loved made it in. Here's hoping for Hoothoot at night ^^

I need to go back and level up in Pokemon Crystal again.

DS emulation still has some ways to go but once they figure out a few aspects of the hardware, a lot of unplayable games are going to display something. :\

This game is not interesting to me at all.

Whoopee, another bunch of games to add to the growing pile of Pokemon shovelware.

Despite Nintendo milking the Pokemon brand for everything it's worth, the core games in the series are always good. Lots of people hate the toys/cartoons/brand/etc. but love the games.

That's part of the reason it's so boring; I know each game will feature the exact same thing. Namely, two games, one of which has about half of the stuff the other one has, more boring places to run around and more generic battles using four moves. Occasionally waith a random gimmick or two thrown in.

Boring.

It's not quite half/half, is it? I thought there were only a certain number of unique Pokemon in each game and the majority were catchable in either game.

Most people don't care about that anyways, me thinks.

Wow, I thought I was the only one in the world that liked G/S/C. *huggles Silver* Reminds me of how much I wished the Johto battle theme would play when you went to the Sevii Islands in Fr/Lg... Ah well.. atleast I got to hear those Johto themes again.

I'm really hoping that this game would be as refreshing/awesome as G/S/C was to me. If not.. then.. uh... Well, sucks for me. I'll have to be sure to avoid taking on people like Alastor..

Mostly people enjoyed that part of the series (G/S/C) because it was most different from the others. They day/night feature was a new concept at the time, and the including of 2 worlds, etc. made the game more interesting. However, the last 3 games seemed to me to be same ol', same ol', only with a bunch of new monsters, some of which were complete rehashing of old ones (I mean, Seel-Dewgong=the Walrein evolutions pretty much).

RAAAAGH! They better have an event with that in sweden too! I send my game to a friend that´s a member of Club Nintendo so he can send my game in too.

Yeah, I´m excited about Diamon and Pearl. Mostly when I´ve come across news about these games in magazines I read about it but I´ve not followed every step they´ve made. And I already knew what some of the new pokémon looked like. I think I´ll buy Diamond because I think Parukia resembles Groudon with the design too much. Also, I hope they´ll catch that mysterious feeling like they did with the G/S/C games when solving puzzles and stuff. I loved that.

That new Fire starter looks silly.

And my favorite games were the G/S/C series too.

Yeah, seriously. G/S/C was totally the best Pokemon Game. I had Silver, of course... Lugia kicks the crap out of any other legendary, and having the opportunity to grab it in Silver was what made me get the game. Heck, I totally had no idea I was even able to go back to Kanto, so it was a big surprise to me back then when I found out that I was. Long live GSC and single battles!

I remember Crystal like yesterday.

A couple weeks ago, my Crystal crashed randomly. Don't ask how. But, when I restarted, apparently I was given a GS Ball of some sort.
And, well, the Celebi thing is true. That ball DOES trigger a Celebi event in Ilex Forest.

What the fuck I did to get it to bug up like that, I wish I knew. I've tried to reproduce it countless times, but to no avail. :/

Ha ha ha ha ha... You all already know what I have to say about GSC so I'll just give a quick summary for those who haven't been around and move on. I think it sucks, 'cause I'm not interested in any of the novelties and only care about the battle system... And Gold/Crystal's high-level battles were absurdly boring. I think Advance > GSC > RBY in terms of strategic depth, but I prefer RBY to GSC because it's many times less boring.

And grey, I must say though that Groudon is the awesomest legendary ever.

All that said, I am quite excited about everything Diamon and Pearl are offering. I'm looking at news and everything. This is going to rule
