My grandpa died at only 66 or so... But the real thing is this: In his will, all the stuff he gave to his UNMARRIED CREEP GIRLFREIND! ALL OF IT! My mom's so shocked. Uh... talk?

..That would be pretty shocking. o.o;

I don't think it's so much a problem in the materialistic sense, it's.. someone leaving all of their things to one person, who hasn't known the person as long as their family has. And having something happen (Edit: ...I have no idea what this sentence was. I disconnected when I tried to post, and I think something poofed. o.O;; )

For example, say your father (I don't know if your parents are still together or not, but let's say for this example that they're not) met a lady and started going out with her, and then a couple of years later, he died. Let's say there are a lot of things in his possession that are important to you and the rest of your family. And then let's say that he leaves everything he owns to this lady. Including those things that would be important to you. Do you think that would bother you? And don't you think it would bother you that he chose to give everything to this other person? It might make you wonder why he chose to do that. If he didn't like you, or if this lady manipulated him into it, or.. whatever.

Either way, you'd have a lot of questions, and you would probably feel pretty hurt. Not neccesarily because he didn't leave you whatever you wanted, but more because he didn't leave you anything.

I know I would be pretty shocked, and pretty upset, if that happened in my family. It would just be so.. weird, and out of character. o.o

I'm sorry about your grandfather, EvilMushroom. =/

Well, I think the materialistic part was "Yeah, my grandfather died young--But the real issue is who he gave his stuff to".

Unless you suspect foul play.

You know, your mom can hire a lawyer and contest the will.

The thing is, he had to be wierd in the head or something to be able to be contested against >.> It's unfortunate, but i'm over it. Gotta look to the future :p
