Heh, the fire starter looks like the fire bat miniboss from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. Nice art, I can't think of any good names to go with the pictures though.

A few things. Why fire, water and grass when there are cooler elements? Why make them cross element at later levels? This gives them double weaknesses and often prevents enough specialization in one element to make them powerhouses. At least from what I remember. I know it might be some silly tradition to have those elements as starters.. but eh.. who cares about that.

The only other trio of elements would be Pyschic/Dark/Fighting, and Psychic can't even HIT Dark, which is why that's a little silly
And...
They're MY Pokemon; they can be whatever type I want

I've always thought of not-often-used combinations of elements. Fire/Steel? Ghost/Grass? There's always room to expand, in terms of combos, anyway.

Interestingly, I responded to Clocky by making intentionally crappy ones, the final evos of which were grass/steel, fire/psychic, and water/ghost.

Also, Clocky, rock/flying/fighting.

Not all type combinations give you double weaknesses. Heck, Ghost/Dark leaves you with no weaknesses whatsoever.
Try the Type Mixer I made. You'll see a lot of variety in the possible strength/weakness combinations -- some good, some bad.

And, specializing in one element... well, it sometimes sorta works in the in-game plotline.
But if you wanted to play against someone who actually knew what they were doing, you wouldn't stand a chance.
Having only one type of attack on one Pokemon is like advertizing "I can only do damage to X type of Pokemon, so attack me with Y type and I'm boned."
Always train your sweepers to try and cover as many types as possible, especially the types that they're weak against.

Additionally, there's the STAB factor.
Same Type Attack Bonus means that if X type Pokemon uses X type attack, they do extra damage compared to Y type using the same attack. (IE, a Psychic Pokemon using a psychic attack will do 50% more damage than a non-Psychic Pokemon).
This gives dual-type Pokemon an advantage, because they get that bonus for two attack types instead of one.

Just be glad there aren't any Electric/Ice Pokemon. The last thing we need is a STAB'd Boltbeamer.

Oh, and the pictures are good, too.

Nice electric type. I assume it would have Levitate, which would make any electric typre great. (no weaknesses)

uh.. I think you missed a very important part of that equation.

Namely that it's Electric/flying
Which means it's already immune to ground attacks.
And also means that levitate would serve no purpose whatsoever.

It also means it would be weak against Rock and Ice attacks.

Yeah I'm a slow reader. Hope that someone does indeed put an Electric-Levitator in Pearl and Diamond. Those pre-evolutions and evolutions sicken me. For god's sake, Togetic evolves and Chansey has a baby!!
