Hmm, does anyone know exacty how benefitual Felonies can be towards +exp?

I've only got like 14 or something on Adell, then a few randomly here and there for other characters (don't worry, I'll reincarnate to atone Adell when I'm ready to beat it).

Actually, the Atlus online store has some copies of Disgaea in for some odd reason, but they're limiting the purchases to one per household I think.

Well, got to chapter 6 last night. They've got a rather retarded geo panel battle that I'm going to have to take the time to go against. I'm liking some of the major additions to the Item World as well...

PIRATES! Oh, god, pirates... What the hell.

So I don't like how the way the Item World is balanced causes enemies that are ten levels below you to have gear that is capable of bringing you down easily... Yeah, they're still cannon fodder for Adell's fists of fury, but when I've got six enemies on him at once with all of them using weapons that far outclass even his upgraded arms, it gets a BIT cumbersome.

Also, does having a treasure map equipped trigger pirate attacks? Because I've got one equipped solely for a massive defense boost that it gives, and I'm seriously considering getting rid of it just because I'm tired of a pirate four times my level coming over and picking on me, ruining my fun and my lovely, lovely geo chaining.

You're probably better off getting the resident out of the map and MOVING IT to another item (such as a sword or something that partains to the power up).

I've got a piece of a treasure map that has a 96 speed resident. You get that and move it to, let's say, slippers...you just boosted the speed of that item by that.

As for triggering pirate attacks, I believe it's random.

I like the fact that you can boost the max of the item with the ITEM ASSEMBLY. That alone would make a fabled Yoshitsuna kick royal ass.

Got some...interesting info about Felonies.

Remember the Statistician I told you about? That's what they are in Disgaea 2. Get 300 felonies for a character and you boost their experience gain that much farther (so up to 4x XP).

Armsmasters are still in items as residents...just have to find them...get 1900 in you can to boost to 20x (meaning you'd hit level 20 for an item VERY quickly...Dimension Slash like THAT for a sword = yum).

I went out and bought the game today. Well, I traded in 15 games and got it then since EB had a special.

This game rules.

I'm only at the start of Episode 2 and haven't gone to the item world but once, and I only made it to the second level before I left.

It is a weird transition for me coming from Final Fantasy Tactics, but I'm already enjoying the game. Only lv 6, but it is so fun. I just... uh... have to learn some of the more complex parts of the game...

Found out the Dark World out of sheer luck. I hit a switch in chapter 9 and was like...hmmmmmmm...

After 5...well...

Dark World is freaking awesome of a challenge. I'm going to love beating the crap out of it. I've already got one taken care of when their levels are 80 and I'm 40 with the Dark Sun reviving enemies every second turn.

I have yet to check out the Dark World, since I heard somewhere at random even mission maps will sometimes turn into the Dark World or something and you'd be facing enemies far stronger than what you thought you were going at.

For now I've just been sticking to Cave of Ordeals with enemy level bills, but yeah I should check out the Dark World soon.

I can break 10,000 attack on Adell now... I think that's pretty good considering he's level 60.

Actually he wouldn't survive a minute with that gear on, it's the fact that I can do it!

His optimal setup puts him at about 9,000 HP, 6000ATT, and 5000DEF. I can solo a good part of item world.

Stealing is also the best thing in this game. As Grey pointed out, Item World enemies get some good weapons, simply take them and then they're yours.

Yeah, I admit it: I'm underestimating theives. I still haven't hired a single soldier outside of my Prinny, Galapagos. Should get on that, huh?

You get the better items, you'll easily clear 100,000 ATK at level 1. Heck, maybe even a mill if you take it to the extreme. The only problem is you'll need to put some hours behind it and get a bunch of level 100 items WITH the Item Assembly bonuses (ATK + POP + Gladiator 9999s to hell).

In chapter 12 now, Adell's at Lv. 62. Just plowing through it without Item World. I usually hold off on that until I beat the game. Dark World is pretty fun though. There's one I have unlocked that's a Difficulty 30. It freaking sucks ass. There's no way I'm beating it when 99% of the map is Invincible, No Lifting, 20% Ally Damage and there's 150 leveled Prinnies out with the Dark Sun changing allies into Prinnies every other turn this early.

And Theives do NOT suck this time around. It's amazing.

Dang. I made a Theif, and didn't do much with it. Guess I should start buffing it up for some stealing later on.

I've been working on replacing my Sinner with a Female Ninja. They seem a little too similar to have out at once, except I enjoy the Ninja's abilities and everything a little more. I've just heard Sinner's aren't that great.

I reincarnated Adell at Genius yesterday, he was only level 85 or something around that but oh well. I don't see myself playing this game so much to the point of me maxing everything out, so yeah.

Well, I decided today to try out the Item World. I thought I was going to fail. 2nd level and pirates show up. But I found a way to counter them. Hehehe, gotta love Reverse Damage Geo Effects and chaining.

Lost three party members on the way, but considering I was at a low level... yeah. Still in Chapter 2...

I am loving this game. I'm beginning to understand the whole Assembly deal, but I'm more focused around perfecting my battle skills to where everything seems more natural to me.

I'd say you were definitely lucky to have those Geo Panels around.

I remember bumping into a Pirate myself when I was just getting into the game, but I didn't have your luck (didn't die, but had to run to the next warp for my life).

Yeah, I was very lucky. But the fact that the pirate leader was only level 8 with low defence and he charged at me made it much, much easier. Plus the Geo Panels were very helpful. Two were blue which had reverse damage. Then the other panels were yellow and red, which the corresponding Geo Symbols were... red and blue respectively.

I've gotten the hang of both throwing and Geo Chaining. Yay. Now to get going on the story...

It's a beautiful, beautiful thing when you can geo chain an entire map into submission without losing a single ally and getting full bonus for the level.

Not all pirates are terribly powerful, but the ones that show up more often than others are definitely up there in levels. Some of them, however, are nice enough to bring along new specialists!
