Now personally I'm psyched about this game coming out.

I walked into EB games yesterday and asked the guy there if the Zelda game was going to actually be released on November 1st like it said or be delayed like it has been, and he said for sure that it's going to be released on November 1st. As I left I thought I'd turn around and ask him why it did get delayed so much. He told me that Nintendo was adding more dungeons and things to it, and so then I was thinking this was a good thing, because in my opinion one or more dungeons can really make a Zelda game rock! So I feel even more excited about it than before. Windwaker was fun but it didn't have enough dungeons. I personally think the thing that even helped Windwaker was the neat new animation and the gameplay was smoother than OOT. But OOT still beats windwaker. I wonder if this new one will be in the top 3.

Windwaker:

Dragon Roost Cavern
Forbidden Forest
Fobidden Fortress (kinda a dungeon)
Tower of the Gods
Earth Temple
Wind Temple
Ganon's Tower

Ocarana of Time:

Deku Tree
Dodongo's Cavern
Jabu-Jabu's Belly
Forest Temple
Fire Temple
Water Temple
Shadow Temple
Spirit Temple
Ganon's Castle

So I hope this new one will be more like OOT. Where it had three first areas and then five more advanced areas. And meant less heart pieces to find and more action instead of a bunch of stupid side quests. So I'm hoping that this new one will be "lengthy". I hope the control is like Windwaker and the atmosphere is like Ocarana of Time.

I'm sure that it's going to be a success. We all know that plenty of work is going into it, and they're not afraid to delay it. I mean, Wind Waker was obviously rushed, and even Ocarina of Time was rushed at the end. It looks like with this game, they aren't pulling any punches.

And.. Is it not going to release the same day as the Wii? That's what I heard, I believe. They're going to put out both versions of it at once, along with the Wii itself.

Interesting... Because that guy told me about the wii coming out on November, but I'm still skeptical considering we don't even know what the launch title is, never in the history of nintendo have they released a console system with just one game, so I think time will tell very soon, but I am excited about it, but I want the new Zelda on gamecube because I like gamecube controls... I don't want to swing at the screen so Link can swing too...

I'm guessing the wii will come out after all in november... especially if now I've heard it from two people.....

Have you not been following anything? Nintendo is having worldwide press conferences this week concentrating on the Wii. By the end of this week we will know the price and the release date.

Also, on the subject of playing Zelda on GCN instead of the Wii, you might as well play it on the Wii. The Wii can play GCN games and has controller and memory card ports for the GCN.

Coldspyll: Not to point out the obvious, but its not like the people at EB Games know more than anyone else here. I've heard a lot of dumb things from people at Gamestop / EB Games, etc ... so yeah (just pointing that out, cause it just sounds like you're believing everything those guys are saying).

Anyways, I'll probably get both versions. I'll get the GCN version just in case the Wii remote features are a little tedious, or gimmicky. But who knows, maybe they'll make the game better?

Perhaps you're right....

I shouldn't just believe all he's saying huh?

I'm just thinking all he said was logical, but I don't know....

You've got the internet, and you asked a shop assistant?

Personally, I hope they do the two-tier dungeon system from Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past too. There's something undeniably Zelda-like about this arrangement.

I think what everyone, secretly, wants is a lightworld/darkworld... To see that working in glorious 3d would be mind-blowing :-)

That would be too awesome if they did that.

And yeah, they'e done the two-tier dungeon thing quite a bit, even for the first game. And it just does seem pretty Zelda-like.
