While castling queenside the king moves 2 spaces towards the rook, and the rook moves 3 spaces, to the other side of the king. They would be a total of 5 spaces. However, since the spaces don't add up, I say it's 2 spaces when kingside (2 between the pieces) or 3 when queenside (between the pieces).

Ay, what a crazy round

First, Darkdata gets 10.b. No penalty for guessing three, because I asked him to specify. He still didn't specify 10.c enough though, and Kamek did. And Kamek beats Uly because I only asked for Kingside.
Skreename got the bonus. # is 14, Point and steal. Also, he pointed out an error I made, which saved this round from being even more chaotic

Lastly, fabio got 10.a.

11.c: 017 = 15 in base 10. Or 17 in base 10 = 021.

0 being the marker for octal numbers, just as 0x is for hex.

And by the way it only becomes a balk if the pitcher doesn't take his foot off of the mound. If he simply throws to first base while taking his foot off, he's merely attempting a pick off.

Balks allow all runners to advance one base. Pick off attempts are completely legal.

The key words were "intent to deceive". In a normal pickoff, the pitcher wouldn't pretend to throw to Home and throw to a baseman instead. I was thinking about adding "penalty play" in there somewhere, but I thought it would make it too easy. (Easier than it was)

It's suprisingly difficult to word the questions correctly so there's as little confusion as possible. I typically spend as much time trying to word a question well as coming up with them in the first place.

EDIT: @Skreename: I don't care if you split your responses.
