I'm thinking I might go have myself a nice, hot comfy bath. You know, with some lovely smelly stuff in it or some bubbles or bath salts in it, and just kinda... have a nice comfortable soak.
I went on a few big walks and stuff today, totalling about 12km, and did a few other things, and I'm a bit tired. I thought it might be a good idea to relax in a bath till I'm all sleepy... then go straight to bed. Tomorrow is back to work (I had a "flexi" day today) and I am guessing will be quite busy, so I figure I'll get in a good relax while I can. How do you guys tend to relax when you've had a big day, or are stressed, or know that something busy is coming up? |

Just, to lie down on the bed and watch some TV. It's good to have a 32 inch TV near the bed.
It makes a difference than be clicking the mouse and typing on the keyboard all day... |

After a really rough the day, the only way I can clear my head is to lie down and sleep. If it's not to stressing of a day I'll watch anime.

I try to avoid too much relaxation time. Other than my 8 hours of sleep per night, I try to avoid anything more than a quick 15 minute break on the computer. Even then. I wouldn't take one unless there was something productive I could do as well while I was chatting on the net. Personally, I'm somewhat against too much recreation and free time, it strikes me as being slothful.

Drinking some beer and hang out with friends. Seriously, after I drink some beers I feel relaxed automatically, no matter how much stress I had that day or what I did.

Originally posted by ||bass See, I need my recreation time -- I need some kind of relaxation. It's not a "sloth" thing, it's a sanity-saver. If I just keep going with work and housework and learning and organising and fixing and stuff all the time, I get too stressed out. Relaxation time is like the full stop at the end of sentences. Sometimes you just need to let yourself unwind, let tired muscles settle down, etc. Besides, it was the first time in a while I just dropped right off to sleep when I went to bed, rather than suffering the usual insomnia... My particular bath also served as a treatment for my eczema Most of the itchies are all gone now. |

I always do the same thing when I need to relax: Get in comfy clothes, lay in bed, and blast music into my ears to the point that I can't hear anything else.
It works like magic for me. Occasionally I'll take a shower, but I usually am too lazy for that. Hanging out with my best friends is pretty relaxing too. |
