It's the fourth day of school and we had a bomb threat. Someone called about half way through 6th period and said a bomb was in the high school.

We had to stand outside the school for about an hour and a half until we walked down to our jr. high and sit in the gym until it finally was over. They had just about all the units there, police, ambulance, and fire department.

They sent the bomb dogs into the school and it turns out there wasn't a bomb. As small as the school district is here in Coventry, it makes me wonder who would do this.

The only thing that I laughed at, was one kid tried to take off and he darted down a gravel driveway and almost slipped and fell on his face. He wasn't the one that made the call, just wanted to leave school.

The whole ordeal ended in about two hours and a half or so.

Since we were in our lunch period though, we did get free food to replace our food that was sitting there that whole time.

Spooky, but if it happened to me I'd be pretty skeptical that there was a bomb. Once in grade 8 someone brought a toy gun and threatened a teacher with it, but that's about all that's happened.
Though my mom got some nasty cuts on her face slipping in a gravel driveway.

We didn't even find out what was going on for a while. We had no idea what to think. Some said it's a fire, other's said a gas leak and we didn't find out it was a bomb threat for about an hour or so.

I was pretty calm through the whole thing. Our school has about 300-400 students in it. We did find out that the call came from a nearby town maybe 20 miles off called Kenmore.

They'll find out who it is and that student will likely get arrested and expelled, if it is a student.

Bomb threats as practical jokes aren't anything new. My school had one a few years back (after I graduated) but the idiot decided to call it in at 7 AM. So, of course, by the time the cops came and the dogs sniffed around, there was just enough time to head to the lockers before first period. I'm fairly certain the kid was caught too.

Wow. My friend just informed me that our school actually has about 700 students. I kinda feel a little stupid right now.

I think whoever called got caught. Turns out the caller called the police station to announce this threat. I didn't hear any direct word that they caught them, but I did hear they know what city.

The only thing I don't understand is that the police only checked our high school for any bombs. They could have just as easily planted a bomb anywhere else.

Some schools actually have a policy where when there's a bomb threat, they herd everyone into the gym or something. Yeah, great idea. Then if the bomb is on someone, everybody dies!
At mine they'd just lock all the classroom doors and have you sit against the walls.

A guy I went to jr. high with got expelled for pulling out a clip and loading it during an assembly. I don't think he was being a terrorist, I think he was just that fucking stupid to bring it to school and use it to deflect boredom.

I remember back at my old primary school we had a few fire and bomb drills. If it was a fire, you'd close the doors and leave the building. If it was a bomb, you were supposed to leave the doors open for some reason I've forgotten, and leave the building.

Everyone was more pissed about it then scared. Most people complained about it being too hot outside and a lot complained about it being during lunch.

I haven't heard if they ever found out who did it.

You know, what you do is you plant the bombs underground, fand then call in a bomb threat...

Everyone'll run outside (over the bombs, or rather remote mines) and, well...

Not that I'd do it, but it just seems a lot better than putting it in the school itself, where everyone will evacuate quickly.

That was kinda what I was thinking of. They could have planted the bomb anywhere.

A teacher told us about a school that had a bomb threat and when people were leaving the building, a couple people in the woods started shooting people coming out the doors. Maybe someone has also heard of this one.

Never had a bomb threat... Nasty though.

But yeah, why bomb the school building anyways? All you'll do is cost taxpayers a lotta money... unless you blow up the assembly area. Frankly, in a bomb threat there shoudl be multiple assemly areas, just in case.

We had a threat last year, a bunch of people that I knew ended up getting into the mix, bleh, it was messy.

From what I heard, it was written in the guy's bathroom mirror, but the guy misspelled "Bomb" by dropping the second 'b.' What a dumbshit, which totally ruined creditablity in my opinion.

We had school that day it was supposed to blow, but a bunch of people didn't go.
