Well, I'm getting better at SMW hacking, been practicing. It's safe to say in general I'm no longer a noob (except to ASM.) I know generally everything there is to know about LM, blocktool, spritetool, d4s HDMA kit, ExGFX, ExAnimations, and OW editing. I still have to learn and practice more on gameplay and level design; but I'm improving. Been hacking SMW about 4 or 5 months now; my game's almost ready for a demo release on SMWcentral. I'm going into the 10th grade this coming school year ('06-'07) and on my free time I hack SMW, play SNES (on my PC) and watch TV. And I would play my PS2, but I'm stupid and broke it (with the whole 'take it apart and disable the sensors so I can play SNES station' thing.) I'm pretty smart (all honors) and I learn things fast. I'd like to be approved so I can continue to learn ASM and grow and get better at hacking overall. Well, I'd like to post here; if rejected,I guess I'll have to go to the not-so-good forums at SMWcentral.

EDIT:
Oh Oh! I know! Slipped my mind that I've already helped the noobs and pros alike! What with this:
http://www.smwcentral.net/download.php?id=5&type=documents
and this:
http://www.smwcentral.net/download.php?id=7&type=documents
The ST doc helps the noobs to learn it and it just saves the pros some time. Yeah, and also; I plan to make another tutorial (possibly about, uh, a more in depth tutorial about animations or about the M16-7k code.) Also, I'm gonna fix up my demo (bug fixes; level design and whatnot) and release my first descent demo on SMW central either later this month or in very early September. I just remembered this and I was all like: "I knew there was something I forgot to put in my approval!" Anyways, if I ever get really good at ASM, I'll probably write a basic tutorial for it (with helpful docs and addresses included.) Also, I hope this approval rule helps rid SMW hacking of dumbasses (even though I was one when I first came here.)

This thread gets my vote for the "Best Approval Request Thread" Award. Seriously.

Edit: Ah, there's more than one line now. O_o
"It's safe to say in general I'm no longer a noob" <--- says the guy who posted his thread before reading the rules. I'm not there to bash, but really... Most of the guys who insist on the fact they aren't noobs are more or less noobs. Those who aren't don't need to state it.

I'm with Stifu here.

You've had a pretty bumpy past. I need to think about this.

Well, it's been a week since I've stopped by acmlm's and I noticed I haven't be approved I would like to appeal this decision by asking very nicely for admittance. Anyways, I have learned a lot about SMW Hacking in the past 5 months I've been here. I know that isn't a very long time compared to others here, but it's not a short time either. I've started re-assessing my game and it's design. This past week has been bumpy, since my dad had a quadruple bypass surgery on Monday. He came home from the hospital yesterday. I haven't really been at home enough to count for anything and haven't been on a computer in a while. I can't draw GFX well, so I'm practicing at it and in the meantime using other GFX (PITMK, PITMK2, SMBLLDX, etc.) The main thing about a game is level design. So I've been playing not just the best SMW Hacks, but also SMAS and other 2d adventure games (DKC, Earthworm Jim, and even Sonic, to name a few) for good level design knowledge. I'm going to play more to see what's fun, and how I can use what I have (Lunar Magic, SMW, Spritetool, and Blocktool) to come up with innovative design and good design that's fun to play. I know you can't use straight forward and repetative design, you should mix it up some. The only thing I have to worry about in my game is level design and occasionally palettes. I have decided to not release the demo I'd planned to on SMWCentral just yet, as I'm reassesing my game and trashing all older levels that suck; I may keep some of the newer levels that have somewhat better design. I do still have lots to learn, as well as a few problems to be cleared up. I'd like to have access to SMW hacking; not so I can ask stupid ass questions and post meaningless threads, but so I can improve and better my skills. Well, please reconsider your decision; I hope to get approved this time around. Thanks for your time.

Learning about the use of paragraphs should be a requirement to get approved.

Fine.

Follow Stifu's advice, don't make any more stupid mistakes, and maybe I'll let you keep your approved status.
