Oh dear god. That was the best movie I've ever seen, in the history of movies, about snakes on airplanes. It was like the ultimate B-Movie. The execution was surprisingly good, but the atmosphere was what you go for in a film like that, and it was just freaking fantastic. There were snakes, and those snakes were on a plane. And they bit people. Oh man, did they ever bite people.

Aughaughaughaughaugh

If I had one complaint, it's that it took so long to get going. 20 minutes before the plane is in the air and another 15 before people notice the snakes? But even that had a purpose. You see all the people going in, and you just have to think to yourself: Who's gonna get bitten? Is it the gangsta rapper? The videogame fanatic bodyguard? The champion kickboxer? The mother? The baby? The steward? The young stewardess? The young blonde stewardess? The elderly stewardess just about to retire? The pilot? The copilot? The child? The other child? I could go on for awhile on this, but it's not that important.

The previews made everything better, too. Our theater was screwed up and played most of the early ones, including the commercials, upside down and backwards. Like, the picture was rotated 180 degrees, and they all played backwards. And they kept fading out. It was hilarious for some reason...

Also, I got a bunch of red vines and gummy worms and threw them at the rest of the audience periodically

Was it just my theater, or did people there hiss at every opportune moment?

BTW, outside of the midnight showing of Episode III, this is the best atmosphere I've ever had for a movie. Ever.

I want to see this so bad.

From the commercials, it made me laugh histerically just because it looked so great.

"THERE ARE SNAKES ON THIS PLANE!"
XD

My friends don't want to see it because to them it looks retarded. My mom won't see it because it involves snakes. And they want to watch more movies than I do, and considering that there is only one movie about every 6 months that I would actually sit through in a theater, it shocks me that the movie I want to see is the one my friends don't care for...

Man, best movie ever.

You know what made it better? the fact that I was drunk when I saw it.

Awesome movie. It's everything I expected it to be. Well, except for the fact that Sam Jackson didn't headbutt a snake. I wish that would've been in there, but ya can't have everything.

I enjoyed the crowd involvement. Lots of hissing, yes. A group of about 20 or so came in wearing white T-shirts that they'd scribbled snakes and stuff all over. The audience loved the hell out of the movie. It reminded me of when I went to see Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness in a theater. Same type of atmosphere. Tooootally great, and made up for the fact that none of my stupid friends came to see it with me.

I'm gonna go see it again. And again. And then buy it on DVD.

I went in expecting good campy fun.

There was plenty.

Too bad that my friends were all busy, broke, disinterested, and/or out of town this weekend. At least there was a decent-sized audience with the right attitude for the movie, but I wish I'd been in the mood to go out on Thursday or Friday instead. I'd been hoping to have an experience similar to the awesomeness of seeing American Pie in a theater packed full of goofy teenagers and twentysomethings. Eh, we can always have a party when the SoaP DVD comes out.

The movie was pure fun, plain and simple.

Needless to ask, but did everyone cheer in your theater when Sam Jackson said the most famous line of the movie?(you know the one)

The crowd in my theater was rather quiet, and they didn't do anything special for The Line. And I didn't feel like doing anything because I would have felt like an idiot (and risked getting on people's nerves) being the only one hollering. Feh...I really wish I would have wound up with a more rowdy audience.

Tons of cheering, and one guy stood up with his arms in the air.

I just saw it, there was about 10 people in the theatre. Not enough to be fun, but too many for me to talk through the whole movie. Oh well, I always MSTie the trailers reguardless of how many people are there. There was some horse movie promo, but when it showed a bunch of them running across a field, no one seemed to get my "Horses On a Plain" joke.

As for the movie it wasn't bad. The seemingly endless array of cliche characters was very amusing. And the fact that the first people killed were simultaneously doing drugs and having sex, was pure genius.

We didn't get any trailers particularly suitable for MiSTing, but there was a laughable commercial for a local Hummer dealership. They boast that the H3 - which starts at under $30K - gets 20 MPG (HIGHWAY!) "so you can save even more". I saved a lot more by buying an economy car that cost half that sticker price and gets twice the gas mileage. It does nothing for my road peener, but it's paid off and reliable, and I don't have to shell out $60+ at the pump every week or two.

Our theatre had a lot of rowdy people.
From the internets. xD

At the beginning of the movie, someone shouted "Long cat is looooong!" causing an immediate uproar. I feel kind of sorry for the people who had no idea what anyone was talking about, but it was funny anyway. When it got to ..The Line, or whatever, everyone cheered and yelled and whatnot. It made up for my .. being easily startled. (The snakes tended to startle me when they popped out. :<) The movie was awesome, but the crowd definitely made it better for me~

Oh man. I opened this thread, expecting a horrible review. I didn't know about this underground cult/ure at all. I just spent the last half hour looking this stuff up.

God I want to see this so bad. It is so up my alley.
