Yes i did know that the system was like that.

And my update:

NFC East: Eagles Conference Champs

NFC North: Bears are in
Packers are in

NFC West: Seahawks with birth
Rams in

NFC South:
Buccaneers are in

As you can see i got rid of the cowboys and put the Buccaneers in the falcons place

What the hell... an 0-15-1 team can't possibly win their division. There are things called divisional games, that prevent that from happening. 4 teams in a division... 2 games played between each team... 12 games have to be won total in the division. Are you sure you are very familiar with the NFL's system?

Unless all of the divisional games went tied, it's not possible for all team to walk away from one division without a win. That would put 4 teams at 0-10-6, which would be a rather big pickle.

When the hell did I say that? If one team bombs all 15 games then other teams have to have won those 15 games, which means there will be other teams that will make the playoffs.

Only 12 teams make the playoffs. Even if 16 teams lost all 16 games, the other 16 teams must win all 16 games and will thus make the playoffs.

They have tiebreakers for that kind of situation, though.

Many many levels of tiebreakers, much more than we'll ever need.

there is no way I could possibly make picks this early D:
I see alot of you picked the steelers over the bengals, that's one pick I'm actually not too sure about, the steelers lost two key players from last season [randle el and bettis], and while both quarterbacks are coming off injury, I'd have to say I'm still not too sure they'll win the division. Even the browns might have a shot! [hah, yeah right, the browns]

I'm quite the fan of the panthers [steve smith ftw], and I'd like to see the 49ers and Raiders do well, but I don't see that happening. D:

LeCharles Bentley is gone for the season. His backup is gone, so the line is at best, average. Braylon Edwards is out for 6 weeks I believe, and Charlie Frye is yet unpolished. The Browns would make a good story, but I don't see it happening yet.

I agree the Browns are better than they used to be, but they're still at least a year away from being really good I think.

It'll still be a tight division between all four teams. I had my doubts about the Ravens, but after seeing McNair and crew stomp all over the Giants defense, I'm pretty sure they'll contend.

The Browns do have one thing working for them. They have the "fucking soldier!" That being Kellan Winslow, Jr. He's so full of himself that club may actually get a spark this year. No, a bigger surprise would be the Kansas City Chiefs winning a playoff game.

Sorry, the Browns don't have a chance this year. Not without taking up voodoo or something.

Hey, let's look at the preseason box scores. Giants won... Ooh, what have we here? Jared Lorenzen going 4-8 for 34 yards passing... and 5 carries for 15 yards? FREE J-LOAD

But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the Redskins won the NFC East. That defense scares me.

Shawn Springs, too.

I don't think either case is really going to hurt the regular season much. At most it will affect week 2's game against Dallas. The Redskins should be able to beat the Vikings without either of them, honestly.

Chad Greenway, 1st rd. pick of the Vikings and a linebacker, is done for the whole season already. He's from my University of Iowa, too. Otherwise, I think its pretty good for my Packers, who need all the help they can get this year.

I know the Browns don't stand a realistic chance, but I am looking for improvement and a good showing against our division foes.

The Browns schedule outside the division is not too bad, but they have essential 6 rally tough games inside the division with the Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals. The Steelers will be really tough. The Bengals have to prove they aren't a one year fluke and that the off field stuff won't be a problem. The Ravens look good so far. All of the line problems for the Browns at center will likely mean a .500 season at best, most likely 6-10. They won't be the worst in the AFC though. The Raiders, Bills, Texans, and Jets are all worse in my opinion.

Honestly, I'd add the Titans to that list as well.

If I were a Browns fan, I'd just be crossing my fingers for a good year to build on for next year, and if you're lucky maybe a chase at a wildcard spot.

The Titans could certainly qualify. They'll finish close to the Browns.

Also, I'm predicting that the Cardinals will be as inept as usually despite the edition of Edgerrin James. He has no line to run behind.

I'm looking forward to this season. I finally have a Monday thru Friday job that will allow be to watch on Sunday.

You take that back

I'm certain the Bills will improve this year.

In other news, first Portis, now LT is hurt. Forecast says LJ is next in line

You are either stupid or brave. Either way, I commend you, but I think you'll find otherwise when the season starts.

The Bills might improve, but it would be a game or two at most.
