Can anyone tell me what the MIME type for a RAR file is? I thought it was application/x-rar-comressed, but when I attempt to upload a RAR file with my upload script, it tells me that application/octet stream isn't a vaild file type (which it isn't, since I didn't set it as an allowed type).
If application/octet stream is the only thing I can use, then I guess RAR is out... |

Google is your friend
There are conflicting reports between "application/rar" and "application/x-rar-compressed". Try application/rar, though the number of results for application/x-rar-compressed indicates that your program ought to support that. If it doesn't support application/rar either, it's defunct. |
