Hey mates im having a bad trouble with the falling spinny (the one thrown by Lakitu). Look at the attached screen taken from my hack, "Mario Legends".

As you see, the top right part of the thrown spinny has that black part that looks real ugly. I want to get rid of that. I checked the gfx and its alright, the gfx for the spinny is all correct, i dont understand from where did that dark stain come from.

Could someone help me?

It looks like there's a piece of another sprite in the upper right corner. Open your hex editor and go to offset x9DD1. Unless you've remapped the Spiny Egg graphics, it should be 84 84 84 84 94 94 94 94. If there's a different value thrown in there somewhere, that's probably what's causing it.

I'm glad to hear Mario Legends is being worked on once more! And that screenshot looks pretty good; keep it up, Aioria!

thanks a lot! i fixed it, my spinnies look alright now ^ ^ one of the '94' in the offset was 'CD', i changed it and worked ^ ^ thanks icegoom.

and thanks for the comment, peter ac. A demo of it is arriving soon

By the way...i have another problem If i mod could change this thread title to "Annoying Bug [carriable blue block related]" id be thanked

It is indeed a problem with the blue block mario can pick and throw (map 16 -tile 12E). Look at the attached screen, it shows a vine after i pick the blue block, instead of the normal shining sprite gfx of the blue block. The bad thing is not only this...i also can't actually THROW the block, when Mario tries to throw it, it just disappears in his hands like dust. I'd like some help here too

ignore the status bar pallete problem

Sprites and Map16 use different graphic files. The graphics for the grab-block and graphics for the grab-block Mario holds are the same, but in separate files. You'll need to change the graphics of the "vine thing" in GFX01.bin, the 16x16 tile starting at tile 0x240 in Lunar Magic. (see the third page of the 8x8 tile editor)

Edit: You can't throw it? Then, if the graphics at the place I specified are correct, it's probably something else. But just check the graphics at 0x240 in Lunar Magic first.
