Testing. Here is a link.

EDIT: Why the hell I can never get them right, at least the first time? -.-

I'm pretty new to all this layout stuff (not to xhtml/css, tho), so I don't know what needs to be done I order to display it right.

It is actually part of the design (most of it gets hidden anyway), however, for some reason my css gets ignored, regardless wither I put it all directly inside the style tag or import it. Any help?

This is slightly offtopic, but you can't just say things are copyright you and then expect them to be copyrighted. If you don't pay for a copyright, then anyone can take anything you do. On top of that, putting copyright on something without owning the copyright is illegal.

acmlmboards automatically place
tags whenever you hit a hard return.. Try not using that many hard returns in your layout.. Also, Your host, freewebs, doesn't like external linking.. Try finding a new host that allows hotlinking.

Hey Sephiroth, your layout is stretching the page.

Yeah, I suspect it's the hotlinking, because that's the only factor I could work out that would cause that to happen

Your code works fine if I download it and run it locally. So I suspect freewebs is the problem.

As a matter of fact, I ripped this layout from an old site I made, which certainly would hold a copyright (due to some concerns I won't discuss here). The site never saw the day of the light, and portions its design are being recycled as a layout test .

I kept the message for the sake of humour and a dirty movie reference.

And now that I look at it, it ceratinly looks cluttered, and borked.

bleh.

It seems freewebs doesn't hate hotlinking after all. But I guess I really need a new host. Any suggestions?

I have to correct you there.

Once an idea has been reduced to tangible form, for example by securing it in a fixed medium (such as a drawing, sheet music, photograph, a videotape or a letter), the copyright holder is entitled to enforce his or her exclusive rights. However, while a copyright need not be officially registered for the copyright owner to begin exercising his exclusive rights, registration of works (where the laws of that jurisdiction provide for registration) does have benefits; it serves as prima facie evidence of a valid copyright and enables the copyright holder to seek statutory damages and attorney's fees (whereas in the USA, for instance, registering after an infringement only enables one to receive actual damages and lost profits).

You don't have to host the css file. You can just modify it to work here in your layout without having to import it. I'm using a css style layout, but I'm not hosting a css file anywhere.

I prefer to have it externally, so whenever I make a change, it'll be global. I won't need to fix individual posts.

Riku: What res do you use? I think there is very little content witha fixed size that would stretch your window.

When you modify the css here, it updates the rest of your posts. That is, as long as you have layouts set to auto-update.
