Arrite. . . I havn't been here in a while and last time I was on there was a FAQ on how to use ExGFX and also a link to where there was alot of ripped backrounds does anyone know where to find this site?

A second question. . . is there a way to make the level taller? I want to do this so i can hide secrets in the pits.

Thank you in advanced and I promise not to release a hack before it I can make it of decent quality.

1. http://smwcentral.net/

2. Levels come in two flavors, vertical and horizontal. There's no way to change the height of the horizontal levels and vertical levels are a maximum of 27 screens high (I believe).

3. It's "a lot" not "alot".

In the header, change the level type from 00 to 0A.

thanks. . . that solves one problem but I tried changing it to that specific header but what I was aiming for was more of a larry koopa's castle sorta thing. . . ya know how if you stay on the moving blocks when it goes down the pit theres a secret door.

Also what should i expand it to?

Try 32 Mbit, the bottom choice in the left column. That's the current size of my rom, and I don't have any expansion problems with anything at the time. Just don't go for the highest setting, as roms of that size are incompatible with ZSNES. (I've never used Lunar Expand, but I sure have alot of ExGFX and levels, and it natrually got to 4 MB.)

Thanks. . . I also kinda figured out how to do what I wanted to do. I set the vertical scroll on at will so that you cant really see what im hiding unless you actuall find it. . . yes i realize how vague that comment was. But thanks goldensun boy

Uh... Lunar Magic expands the ROM automatically. Open Lunar Magic, load a ROM in it, save a level and the ROM is ready to be used with Sprite Tool (and Block Tool).

BlackHole89 put it in a deep freeze long ago when he left this forum, most likely because of the growing amount of people not reading help files, looking through old posts, reading announcements and stickies, and asking dumb and improbable questions. (people sometimes refer to this as the decline of the SMW hacking forum) Unless he gets interested in SMW again, I doubt he'll ever release it.

Solar Soundtrack project is a tough one(I think). Maybe we have to wait for some more months(even years). To tell the truth, I can hardly believe that this project can be finished, since it is long time since I heard of it(when I first found Acmlm's I knew about it)
But, I have a question, too...
There is no sound of Super Mario Odyssey since its last demo in 2004. Anyone knows if it will release another demo, iced/cancelled or we have to wait till 2007 to see its final release?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who realizes Solar Soundtrack isn't going to happen.

As for SMO, BMF said he might start work on it again when Solar Soundtrack came out (lawl)

I'm actually quite lucky, cause I had a chance to beta-test solar soundtrack. It works fine, crashes on playback though. It's not even half-way finished but useable.
If you ask me to give it to you, sorry, I can't. I promised blackhole89 to NOT give it to any other peson without his permission.

If he isn't going to finish Solar Soundtrack, why doesnt he give the source and his notes to someone else to finish?

That question is far too familiar, if ya know what I mean.

But yeah it would be awesome if he left it to somebody like mikeyk.

Look you guys, if you guys want really want to change the music why don't you guys start on your own SMW music thingy. If you think about it, blackhole is only 16, which means he has school and problably doing a shit load of work to try to go to college(if he's going). So...yeah.
