Well, I'm about to release my revision of
Super Mario's Journey DEMO.
I haven't changed the # of levels much (I added 1 level), but I've changed the levels themselves and made them better. There are no new submaps either. Anyways, I want 5 people here to beta test them. So, the 1st 5 people who reply that they want to will be sent a copy tomorrow; b/c I have to polish it up some tonight. Then you can give me bug reports, and suggestions of how I can improve upon it. Thanks go out to peter_ac, Ghettoyouth, anyone else here who has helped me, SMW central, and Jonwil (for blocktool.) And let's not forget FuSoYa for LM and Nintendo for the game. Also, I'm going to send peter_ac and ghettoyouth a copy, they can decide whether they test it or not. (NOTE: I'm not providing any screens here because I don't want the public to see them until I release it on SMW central with pics.)

So, 5 people besides peter_ac and ghettoyouth for testing.... Who's up for it?

Okay.

1. You can hear Mario jumping at the title screen.
2. Bad fingertips, and horrible black outline in level c5.
3. The tile on which mario starts on the OW leads to level 0
4. Bad outline colours on the overworld
5. BwahHaHa should be Bwahhaha
6. There isn't enough room after the goal in Toad's House
7. The Mario in the status bar is too dark
8. The grass in the first level is very plain
9. Black paths during the event after level 1
10. Why is there a snow level in world 1?
11. In the snow level, the brick and used block have bad palettes.
12. Use BMF's fadefix to stop the background colours from appearing after passing the goal.
13. The turn block bounce sprite is white
14. Tropical Island 1 is a gold icon...
15. Some black piranha plants in Tropical Island 1 are too hard to avoid
16. Terrible wine-coloured outline in TI1.
17. How are we supposed to know that those bricks are sensetive bricks??? "Dying because of something you could never have known about is not fun." I can't remember who said that, but it's very true.
18. The half-way mark is still there after restarting half-way.
19. The waterfalls don't pull Mario down.

I'll pick up at Tropical Island 2 later.

You can enter the Start panel. It leads to a bonus game.

Your ground looks kinda plain. Maybe toss a few dots in? It might work, I dunno.

I'm stuck in the tower. Any help on how to get through it? =\ The doors keep looping me back and forth

Well...
I haven't been here in a while because I couldn't load up the website Wow; that's a lot of 'bug reports.' Thanks for the help; mostly what I'm getting is small bugs; which is a good thing. I'll try to make a list of problems and try to fix them; but, like I said; some palette problems can't be fixed without seriously fucking something else up. I'll do what I can and try to patch up some of the earlier levels' designs. Look out for a release sometime this week. Or, better yet; how about I have another (just one more) beta test once I finish fixing these problems (I may need help with some of them ) just to double check. I DO NOT want to release a demo, whether 10 levels or 500 levels on SMWCentral with out it being bug-free. Thanks again; and Mike'Oshay; I swear I'll send you the 'patched up' version.

EDIT:
Well, I've fixed most of the small things and I've decided to entirely redo toad's island 2 and cory's domain. Toad's island 2 WILL NOT be snowy; I'm not sure what BG/FG I'll use just yet. I'm stuck on a few problems; however:
WHAT I HAVE LEFT TO DO:
-Title screen ASM so you don't hear him jumping (to be done last, obviously)
-apply fade fix
-the 2nd switch palace
-toad's island 2
-cory's domain
-make the waterfalls movement down custom blocks
-Fix a couple of palette problems
-fix the end goal points for almost all the levels

STUFF I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX (HELP ME):
-When you beat a level; the colors that build the event path are black (Tryed a bunch of different palette changes; not sure what palette #; color # it's on...
-The halfway point re-appears after you restart there; don't know how to fix it.... (If I can't/don't fix it; I have it set up where you can't reach it in most of the levels when you restart halfway anyways.)

Then I have to test it myself; it'll probably ready for the final bug test Tomorrow or Thursday then submitted to SMW central on Friday or Saturday.
