Pee-Wee's Playhouse is a lot of things but it is most certainly not catered specifically to children.

The DVD's came out roughly a year ago but no one really cared. I'm glad Adult Swim is putting it in syndication once again. Now that young teenagers are viewing Pee-Wee, an 80's icon of mythic proportions, perhaps they will better understand why 20 something's are the way we are.

I mean who didn't love Tim Burton's initial film Pee-Wee's Big Adventure?

I don't remember watching it much as a child, but I seem to remember every single episode that has aired on Adult Swim.

I must have watched it more than I thought, heh heh....
It's a neat show, it packs alot into a half of an hour.
It's just eccentric enough to be cool for adults and fun wacky enough for children to enjoy.
I wish there were more episodes...

Wish?
Did somebody say 'wish'?

Also, I'm not sure if anyone noticed this, but Pee-Wee will be the first show that isn't animated to appear on all of Cartoon Network.

No, Saved By the Bell was first, on [as] as well.

Way back before Adult Swim, there was this wierd show with people in monster costumes that came on late at night on Cartoon Network. It wasn't animated, but that might of made it a little less scary.

Pee-wee's playhouse was awesome for the pure WTF factor of most of it. Too bad i can never see it because i'm working when it airs usually.

I'm usually at home anymore to see it.

Sure makes me remember when I was 5. Secret word was a reason to get my folks up at a little past 7 AM.

And god that made me remember Meka-leka-hi. I can't believe I forgot about that. The only other reminder was SBemail.

The Banana Splits Show had all sorts of crazy stuff in it, most of it live-action. Is that what you're talking about? I know it aired, like, eight years ago on CN.
