You know, I really like ice cream. A lot. I eat it like every week if I have to.
And no, not just any ice cream. Expensive ice cream, from this coldstone creamery place (if you live in/near atlanta, there should be one near you, and you should go). I'm talking like...$6.00 for a waffle cone and a huge thing of ice cream. XD And it's not just any ice cream, oh no. They add things to it. The same one I always get is strawberry with white chocolate chips, graham cracker pie crust, strawberries, and bananas. Oh, but here's the thing. I'm actually lactose intolerant, so I'm making the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE FOR THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER. So, I guess you should reply with your favorite food and sacrifices you've made to get it. And not witchy baby sacrifices, y' hear? |

Sweet Kassy Molassy Out of ice cream and PB. Would KILL for a milkshake right now. Since: 06-17-06 From: LoozeeAnna Last post: 6322 days Last view: 6321 days |

I'm lactose intolerant.
I drink milk and eat ice cream anyway. Ice cream is good, and milk can't be done without after chocolate or cookies or pb sammiches. Sure, they have those tablets you can take before you eat, but those things are expensive. I don't eat ice cream very often becaue I obsess about my weight, but I drink milk daily. It's worth the tummy ache. |

EEP!!!!! *_*
My boyfriend's dad is lactose intolerant too and he's all like telling me I should stop, and I drink milk every day. I'd literally eat NOTHING if I had to give up milk. I even said "well, Bradley and I are going to be living off cereal, sandwiches, and microwave pizzas, so I can't not eat milk products!" XD Because Bradley and I are poor and getting ready to move into our new apartment as well as be full time students. It's fun XD EDIT: Don't obsess about your weight. I eat ice cream every week and I'm only 130 pounds (I'm 5'7") and no, I'm not one of those lucky people with high metabolism. (edited by Amanda on 07-17-06 04:35 PM) |

I actually had to sacrifise eating really good cakes. Why? Because all the good cakes have frosting(not whipped cream) and I seem to be allergic to frosting, my throat swells up and I can't breath . | |||

Originally posted by Amanda There's a Coldstone Creamery near where I live. I haven't been there before, but I want to go. Also, Coldstone isn't the only place that does that. Many places have those options. As for ice cream in general, I used to eat it a lot, almost everyday. Lately I haven't been eating it as much. I'm not too sure why, but I'm guessing it's because I've lost a want for it. Right now I'm wanting it though. All the threads in here that are about food make me want to have some of whatever the topic is. |

I'd go to a Cold Stone if they had them here. I mean, if I really want ice cream and there's none in the house I'll just head downtown and go to a Ben & Jerry's.
I'm a sucker for anything mint-flavored. Cookie dough and/or brownie pieces do me in too. |

Originally posted by Colin XD My boyfriend likes mint flavored ice cream too! I've tried it, but I can't stand it. To me, mint is for like toothpaste and for like...cooking certain things. Not for in ice cream. XD Ben and Jerry's has nothing on coldstone. And for a while, one of my friends worked there, and she'd go in and I'd get FIFTY PERCENT OFF. *_* But unfortunately they suck as employers and she quit, I think. |

I don't really like coldstone
I can understand why you would, 'cause they've got quality ice cream, but eh. I dunno, I just prefer the taste of Baskin' Robbins. I suppose I'm just crazy. BR is a lot cheaper, too. Ice cream is pretty much the only dessert I actually like. It's. So good. At some points in my life, I've found myself eating it several times a day. My favorite flavor is Baskin' Robbins' "Gold Medal Ribbon," with the caramel, and the chocolate, and the vanilla, and it's just... Great, now you've got me salivating... It's not like I have many options for store-bought ice cream. Off the top of my head...
Ben & Jerry's - Perfectly fine. Far away though... Laura Secord - Very close to my house but... eh. Their Mint Chocolate Swirl is good but there's not too many other flavors I like. Dairy Queen - OK, Blizzards don't exactly fit into this category but they're soooo good... augh... I'm due for one. |

I actually haven't tried store-bought ice-cream. Well, except for Dairy Queen Blizzards, which are damn good. Among the ones you can buy in supermarkets and such, I prefer the kind found in boxes (not buckets). To me, that's usually a good sign that it tastes good.
Another thing: when I read the topic title, the first thing that came to mind was that one commercial for an ice cream machine for kids. You know, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for BASKIN ROBBINS' ICE CREAM MAKER!!!!!!!!!1111111111111" Is that wrong? The first thing I thought after reading the thread was "Cold Stone? More like Stone Cold!" Is that also wrong? |

...NEVER?
Seriously, if you've never tried any ice cream store then there's something wrong with you. |

Originally posted by Colin Well, I guess there is indeed something wrong with me (in the eyes of you), then. To give me a little credit, there aren't really any up where I live, except for Dairy Queen, which I already mentioned I tried. I don't really get what's so great about ice cream store ice cream, though. Just how good is it compared to the best "supermarket ice cream" you've tried, on a scale of rancid feces to orgasmic? |

See, our DQ is a kiosk that's open from May to October I think. If I want DQ in, say, December, I'd have to head downtown. And it's ice cream stuff only sadly.
This thread is really making me crave ice cream... a lot of threads recently are making me crave stuff. Hooray for good metabolism. |
