OK, so it's a lame question. What image size value (like number of pixels X/Y) in MS Paint corresponds with a standard 8.5" x 11" sheet? I don't want to waste paper experimenting randomly. Or maybe there are programs functionally similar to MS Paint which have an automated feature? Freehand computer drawing is difficult.
Excuse my poor speech. I've been offline a while, shopping for faster internet access. It worked. I'm now on 6.0Mbps cable instead of 512K DSL. Did I mention DSL was slow-as-slime? More lagginess than dial up in many cases, despite the better 'rated' speed. |

8.5''x11'' is 612x792 pixels.

In MSPaint you can go to attributes and change the units from pixels to inches.
Edit: Does pixel>inch ratio change on different screen resolutions? I don't see why it would, but on my computer 8.5 x 11 inches = 540x699. (edited by Kario on 07-13-06 08:35 AM) |

MSPaint shows 691x894 for me. I just think that all three sizes are of the same ratio (8.5x11 inches), but different sizes.

Go get the GIMP already. Don't bother with MS Paint.

I can use both solutions. This monitor goes up to 2048x1536, the printer is just standard sized paper. Software often gets designed for photos, so I'm going to try making freehand images from scratch. Thanks. |
