Yeah, but you can't do that. You can only change one object into another and move it; you can't add or remove anything yet. That is, you can turn a box into a Goomba, but you can't just add a Goomba.

Oh I see thanks for the info. It would still be good, since you could change an object into a different one, you could still edit a level pretty good.

Rainbow ride and the bowser worlds are levels that are build up by lots of small platforms. These platform can be moved just like the objects, which means that you'll be able to make complete new levels by rearranging these platforms.

If you decompress the data, edit the data, then recompress, ofcourse it will work.
But if you decompress, spoil the data, then recompress, maybe only the intro screen will work depending on which part you have spoiled.

I can see it now...

You ground pound one stake three times, and all the Chain Chomps in the level fly away at once. Then while they are jumping, they hit each other and stop for a moment like when you hit them with a bomb-omb, thus SERIOUSLY GLITCHING THE GAME!!!

(I already said the first thing that I'm going to do. The second thing I'm going to do is make a pie level . mmm mmm mmm... toasty)

There must be at least one unmovable object. Find all the useless objects in the games and turn them into walls, thats what I'll do for a lvl mabe, so I can create a maze. (walls as in inmovable object walls.)

Quick Question: Are you able to edit at which point in the level Mario starts? Thanks in advance.

I imagine the game would freeze when you load the level. It'd be interesting to experiment with start points though. Maybe have two of them, appearing on different stars, so you start in a different place depending which star you choose.

Things I plan to do with this editor when it's released:

- Put a bunch of "!" boxes or something above some pit/abyss, and then make you jump across them to get a star.
- Put a wing cap in DDD, just so you can get all three caps in one level.
- Require Mario to enter one of the castle's Black Rooms of Death at some point.
- Turn [CLASSIFIED] upside down.
- Put all the [CLASSIFIED] in [CLASSIFIED] above the [CLASSIFIED], and put a sign saying "PWNED!" where that stuff used to be. (I'll probably end up having to remove [CLASSIFIED] and move [CLASSIFIED] somewhere else, though.
- Put a wing cap in the interior section of the [CLASSIFIED] stage. This might allow Mario to get to [CLASSIFIED]. (I might even put a star in that "illegal" area, just for the hell of it.)
- Also add a wing cap to [CLASSIFIED]. (I should try putting a koopa shell there, too.)

Maybe you should make it possible to reach some previously unreachable areas in which Luigi is said to reside, and put stars or something there.
As for jumping across ! boxes, be warned that they break easily. You'd have to have really precise jumps to land on them without breaking them.

BTW, did anyone ever notice this? In Hazy Maze Cave (level 6) head left from the entrance and look down the bottomless pit. If you look close you can see a yellow dot, and I think a green one too. If you consider the level's layout, then directly below this area should be the small pond, in which there are yellow and green ! boxes. I figure the "bottomless" pit here is actually just a hole leading down to that area, but with some object placed in it that kills Mario. The distance prevents the polygons from being visible, but you can still see the ! boxes.

Hmm, sounds interesting. That'd be neat to fall from that height into the pond. Also, would it be possible to ASM hack a bowser fight to fight him differently? like make it so you can jump on him instead of swinging him?

Hey, I've noticed that also.

I think this is just the yellow box in the room where you find the elevator down to the underground lake, and the green box is the one at the bottom of the elevator shaft. Because of the distance you can't neither see the polygons or recognise the distance between these boxes!! Have you tried to moon jump up from the underground lake?? You'll come up where the big rocks roll down and then exit the level.

I see boxes, and they're green, so maybe you're right.
When I backwards longjump through the wall using the first elevator that goes up in the beginning of the level, usually I hit one of those boxes or at least that area and die. Or rarely, I'll miss the boxes/area and hit an invisible wall that will make me fall down right in front of the door to the metal cap room.

I think that's the toxic labirinth or whatever is called. The green boxes are obiously the metal caps, and you can see a yellow polygon. And this would make sense becouse there's an elevator that goes from the labirinth to the upper part of that area.
when the editor comes out we should remove the thing that kills mario and jump nto the hole to see what's there.
