Anyone here use NesterDC and know where to find a compatability list?
I also want to know if anyone knows where I can find this so called, Rock setting or something, so that the 7.1 version has longer filenames... Any help? (Also, instead of making a new thread, Does anybody know is DreamSNES can run most games at full speed if the sound is off? Dont want to waste a CD on it to find out it dosn't) (edited by ForeverDead on 11-17-05 09:28 PM) |

...OK, first off Nester itself is an emulator so you're not going to ask what emulator an emulator's for.
A Google search would have answered this question for you. |

NesterDC is a Nintendo emulator for the Dreamcast. It is VERY popular among the Dreamcast Homebrew comunity.
Now, again, does anyone have a compatability list? |

I found this, its a list of some someone tried, and they didnt work...so yeah
# Elite -- Corrupted graphics all over. Perhaps NesterDC doesn't like PAL-only games? # Gauntlet 2 -- Tiny graphical glitch in floor graphics. # Gyruss -- Important graphics missing on title screen and during gameplay. # Marble Madness -- Starts but hangs with corrupted graphics on first board. # Millipede -- Very rarely will develop a problem with corrupted graphics which makes it unplayable. Software reset of emulator returns it to normal state. # NES Play Action Football -- Corrupted graphics make it unplayable. # Paperboy -- Doesn't respond to controller. # Track & Field -- Long jump and javelin do not work. What's the point? Dreamcast was a short-lived station and you can very-well get good (if not) better emulators on your pc. I'm confused. | |||

But wasn't the Dreamcast also VERY user-friendly when it came to programming emulators/homebrew stuff for it?
That's probably why... I mean, if I had a DC I'd probably want to get the most out of my investment. |

I only have the NTSC one. |

The Dreamcast can fully read self bootable CD-Rs without a Mod chip or boot disc, so it is very user friendly. It is HEAVILY made homebrews for and constantly has emulators coming out and being updated for it. The NES emu, can run games at full speed with sound. I have a Game Boy /Color EMU that can play games full speed with sound. They have all kinds of ones, some not full speed yet, but hopefully one day...
The Dreamcast is very easy to use when it comes to emulation and homebrews, and you can do all kinds of things with it. Also thanks for that compat list. I guess that is it for what dosn't work. I had a few of em in my list. Thanks alot guys! |
