It is so freaking irritating! Arggh... Most of Worms Armageddon is fine, but some of the training excercises (Crazy Crates and Artillery Range to be precise) and none of the missions are working.

Some of them have the wrong maps, others have the right maps but wrong events (Pumpkin Problems has no 'special crate', just a constant stream of normal ones that fall on you at the start... WTF? Since your supposed to have limited weapons)

Others have everything perfect except that the enemies begin with zero health, so they die before I get a chance to kill them .

All the deathmatches and randomly generated maps for two player battles are fine because they're not specific maps, so maybe thats the problem...

Anyone have any idea what on earth is going wrong?

Regards, Jono

The problem is you downloaded a cracked copy.
I too love worms, as it was a cult in my class for awhile, but once we lost our CD. I took a whole week to try and find an iso, a nice cracked copy, anything.

I once found a reasonable working, fully updated copy, but I needed a real Key to go online.

Your copy is most likely straight outa a random P2P program, and most likely says something like, "Worms Armageddon: Full Game! (Hacked for WinXP, Cracked)[PROViSION]". Something like that. It dosn't work right at all.

You get map errors, registry errors that give you the same random map every time.
You get single player mission errors, the whole kit and caboodle.

In closeing, you downloaded a cracked version of this game. Theres your answer.
And we do have a rule here about no talk of Warez soooooooo....
Admins! Bring on the BACON!!!!!

EDIT: One last thing. I noticed the pumpkin problems AFTER, and YES, that is an issue with that crack, and FURTHER prooves you downloaded it. Every level was edited to start and give you unlimited weapons. The original gives you about 3, which dont even drop from crates.

CASE. CLOOOOOOOOSED.

Huzzah, solicitation of illegal activities!

This doesn't warrant a close at all, but it IS a very good reminder that piracy is a bad, bad thing, ladies and gents. If anyone DOES happen to post some poorly-thought-out links, then we can get some wrath going...

EDIT: To clarify, S&T, The rule itself is to not post links to warez or ROMs on the board. Discussion of them is fine and dandy. If it weren't how could the entire ROM Hacking community exist? Nevertheless, it is a bit of an annoyance to have to watch for links here and there.

When my WA cd got scratched I made an .iso and burned my own copy from a friend's disc and it works just fine.

Sucks your missions don't work. Crazy Crates is one of my favorites.

Yeah, it's not illegal to talk about the stuff... you know, like the PC version of Devil May Cry 3 that I just finished obtaining. It's talking about WHERE to get the stuff that's the bad thing.

And if you ARE going to go down that road... use reliable sources. :\

I should have guessed it was dodgy, my friend gave it to me on a cd wtih a few other things, so I thought I'd try it out... Oh well. Guess I'll just have to find a decent copy somewhere. Thanks for the heads-up about "fully cracked" and all that S&T.

Hmm, Worms World party is better than Worms Armageddon, not sur about Open Warefare though, not tried that yet.

Anyone played Worms 3D? Did you notice there's a Welsh soundbank on there, that's due to ME, i complained on Team 17's website and they PUT IT IN!!!

Ok I've stopped blowing me own trumpet now...

Worms Armaggeddon has better customisability with The Fiddler though. Of course, WWP has other nice things. I own them both, so meh. (Then again I got WWP for ten bucks AUD..that's like the cost of a hamburger.)

Then again, I have the fondest memories of Worms 2.

And nice going. But then, Team 17 is pretty cool like that. They actually listen to people.
