By hook and by crook I got my hands on the Nintendo DS SDK. It uses Cygwin on Windows; to the unknown, Cygwin is a Linux-on-Windows system, kinda like WINE is a Windows-on-Linux system. Logically, it should be pretty much effortless to set it up on my Linux workstation.

$> make
==== /home/techokami/NitroSDK/build/buildsetup/ioreg
make[4]: Nothing to be done for `do-build'.
==== /home/techokami/NitroSDK/build/buildsetup/ioreg_sp
make[4]: Nothing to be done for `do-build'.
==== /home/techokami/NitroSDK/build/buildsetup/fx
make[4]: Nothing to be done for `do-build'.
==== /home/techokami/NitroSDK/build/buildsetup
make[3]: Nothing to be done for `do-build'.
==== /home/techokami/NitroSDK/build/tools
make[3]: Nothing to be done for `do-build'.
==== /home/techokami/NitroSDK/build/libraries/fx
/home/techokami/NitroSDK/build/buildtools/modulerules.cctype.CW:344: *** target pattern contains no `%'. Stop.
make[3]: *** [build] Error 2
make[2]: *** [build] Error 2
make[1]: *** [build] Error 2
make: *** [build] Error 2

Apparently not. I couldn't find anything about module rule files, so I figured I'd ask here (since it relates to makefiles, programming, etc). What the heck do I do now?

Yeah you need Codewarrior for Nitro 1.1 or 1.2 the ones that i know used to be current, I used to fool around with that stuff as well. So compiler needs to be from Codewarrior so get your hands on that and crack it.

He's not using codewarrior... he's using the GNU compiler on linux. And I think it should work since the plugins are for Codewarrior, not for GNU. He PMed me telling me someone else got it to work.

Yes, I'm using GNU compilers.

My friend Lightning was able to use devkitARM with the NitroSDK by moving the SDK's include files into devkitARM's include directory.

I'd like to see if I can fully install the NitroSDK on a pure Linux environment, though.

Well i did that, but the next step is to go into the SDK directory and run make to get the demos built.

Off-topic: Do you intend to work on properly emulating the DS?
