Imse Vimse Spindel klättrar upp för trå'n
Ner faller regnet, spolar spindeln bort Upp stiger solen, torkar bort allt regn Imse Vimse Spindel klättrar upp igen Translation (in case you didn't learn swedish in school... for some wierd reason...) Imse Vimse Spider climbed up the net Down comes the rain, flushes the spider away The sun rises, dries all the rain Imse Vimse Spider climbed up again Another version: Imse Vimse Spindel tappa' nå't på tån Ringde efter doktorn på en telefon Doktorn var ute, meta' med en vän Imse Vimse Spindel fick ringa klockan fem (Too lazy to translate. Sucks to be you... unless you know swedish, that is.) (edited by Smallhacker on 06-26-06 03:45 PM) |

Spiders don't really frighten me that much. The only ones I'm around are small, and not very menacing. Now, frogs? They freak the christ out of me. | |||

Maybe I should post a pic of a big spider then?
I´ve actually gotten more insecure with picking big spiders up with my bare hands over the years. I did it easily when I was younger. I´m not afraid of spiders, though. And frogs are cute. |

I'm not afraid of much, but I have an overpowering fear of spiders. I've been able to face it better recently, I even watched Arachnaphobia all the way through without having to turn it off. But we have spider problems pretty bad here. My last appartment had brown recluses in the AC closet and I'd find them in my towels in the bathroom. Luckily I've ALWAYS been in the habit of shaking towels before use. I don't always check my shoes though, and have been bitten on the foot. Necrosis is no fun. I get bitten every once in a while when I sleep outside in my hammock too, but haven't had a really serious reaction other than some painful welts.
I had a girlfriend pick up a spider and throw it on me once. We were at her parents' house for dinner and she got lectured for it. She didn't get any snuggles that night either. *shudders* She Laughed!! It was NOT FUNNY. Spiders are horrible and need to die. |

Unless your monitor is some unthinkably high resolution, that will stretch the shit outta the tables.
And you need to die for posting a spider in the first place. Die, I say..... |

Don't post pictures so large that they will stretch tables. You can link to them.
Thank god it was too big though, I couldn't even see the spider. |

When I see a spider I have to go get someone to kill it for me. But as long as I know it can’t get to me, I’m not afraid. Recently I discovered my favorite way to kill spiders: feed them to bigger spiders!

I am not afraid of spiders because there is no poison as in you can die/be really ill spiders around here. The spiders around here are super small too.
I did however do something horrable to a friend. I have one of those giant looks real plastic spiders. He was asleep I put it on his chest. He got up and... Well he yelled so loud that my mom heard him outside. . |

I think that the green spider looks pretty cool. The 4th pic in asdf's list.
I also think that the eyes on the 5th one looks pimpy. |

I don't mind looking at PICTURES of spiders, but any of those in my house, and I squish them. Particularly ones I know are poisonous, like the redback that's pictured.
If they're on me I will probably freak out, much to the amusement of everybody else I'm sure. ~_~ |

I think spiders are cute. The ones near where I live are not dangerous, so I'm not scared of them.
If I find them in my house, I pick them up gently and set them down outside. |

Originally posted by TaraleThere's no red-back spider pictured. That's a black widow spider. Related, but not the same. Redbacks have more of a two diamond or striped pattern, while black widows have an hourglass shape on them. |
