Seriously, you need to get rid of your fear of Banzai Bills so people won't make fun of you.

I'm sorry but a Banzai bill is just a freaking bullet bill oversized, with a angry face. What is there to fear? I'd understand if you were afriad of house of the dead games, but this is a freaking super mario game where everything is colorful. *well the original ROM was*

Mate, Banzai Bills aren't anything to be scared of.

Now - that clown in Wario Land 3, that is fucked up. Scared the hell out of me back when I was 12.

EDIT - or was it 11? I cant remember - I got it when it first came out in 2000.

What mostly scares me about Banzai Bills is the face. I really cannot look at one.
And I apologise for flaming, but I was really annoyed at the time. I know I shouldn't be scared of them, but I am. I am maybe losing my fear though.. (I forced myself to stare at the ASCII Banzai Bill)

There is nothing to fear but fear itself, Jaw. Really put that to mind next time you're afraid of something.

When I played Zelda 64, the Lizardos in the dodongo's cave scared me to drink milk to cool down my pumping heart.

Things like that happen.

Once you managed to overcome completely your fear of Banzai Bills, you will no longer have to be mocked by the rest of the people. That's if you're willing to change.

I've got a story: I was always piss-afraid of PianoForté in SM64 (Jackass piano that you have to move behind before he eats you to get a red coin in Big Boo's Haunt), and after I got SM64DS (kickass game, by the way) I was scared of playing that part of the game. Whenever I went there in the original, I just completely froze up and was unable to save myself. I was playing SM64DS, I got to BBH, got to the red coin star, and I went into the room with the piano. I just ran as fast as I could, right behind PianoForté, got the coin, and ran out of the room. He was activated just before I left the room. I was all, "WTF, I was scared of THAT?" I went back, got hit by him for fun, just to find that it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

I though to myself, "Hey! I'd bet they just quieted down this version, because the original was too scary." I went to my N64/N64 Emulator (I can't remember which), started up SM64, got to BBH, went to the room, and I got the coin. PianoForté was verrrrry slightly harder than in SM64DS, but not such an extensive amount as I'd expected from my memories.

Moral of the story: Video game fears are never as bad as you assume at first, when you first play them, as when you play the old-school ones first, you're likely a little kid and your fears are much scarier than they actually are. Try to face your fear in the original SMW, by just playing YI1, then try to kill all the Banzai Bills in the level, then move up to the harder hacks. You'll end up being fine, believe me.

On a side-note: Fears from childhood that have a physical form (not like heights or anything, but such as bugs) are perfectly fine and should haunt you for your entire life. (Yeah, I've got something against bugs. You want me to, I'll explain all the major points of it, and what caused my fear/hatred.)

What's wrong with fear something? I'm frightened everytime I hear SA-X walk in metroid fusion... I think it's behind me watching every single move I do... o_o

On a SMW hacking note, someone should do some sprite ASM and make Banzai Bill go the same directions a Bullet Bill can. Doesnt seem too hard, but I know nothing of this ASM.

Finally the flaming towards me stopped. I love the Super Princess Peach and NSMB Banzai Bills, they show just what the SMW ones should have been like (one of my favourite NSMB screenshots is Mario pwning a Banzai Bill)

By the way, to Mike O'Shay: I have SM64DS, and I think it's awful.
Also, Chain Chomps used to scare me, they don't any more, but the roaming ones in Bob-Omb Battlefield star 3 still do. (setting a chain chomp free and watching it fly away in NSMB is fun, so is looking at it from a safe distance and watching it fly, WIIII! (please excuse the bad pun))

I don't think it would be possible to make BB go the same directions as a Bullet Bill, if I remember correctly from what I've heard SMW has diagonal bullet bills, diagonal banzai bills would need to be sprited.
