I like the beta pisture that has the original inside entrance to the castle. I wonder how it was like. Did VL-Tone say something about the editor that if you can change mario into something esle like a yoshi, a bomb or something custom? Or even something simple like changing the color of his hat or something.
Go VL-Tone! |

You can change the colors of any part of Mario with gameshark codes. Just take your time and READ THE LAST 10-15 PAGES!!!

I have a question about the objects in the game, mainly because I wonder about the flames bowser makes and the coins that appear from the flames. Would we be able to edit those? Are they even objects?

Originally posted by Shiryu You have a really bad attitude. He was just asking if its out. Theres no need to be rude. Just because VL'll is making the editor doesn't mean he needs to be bumlicked. VL'll is proberly a nice person because he's releasing it, im sure he doesn't like bumlickers, i mean who does? |

Dude... That wasn't even rude. It was merely factual. People, LISTEN TO WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING!!!1 VL-TONE WILL RELEASE THE EDITOR WHEN IT IS DONE. READ THE THREAD, IF A LINK TO THE PROGRAM IS NOT HERE, THE PROGRAM IS NOT DONE.

Hello, all im new to this thread..heh but I have question, any one that has every made maps (levels or stages) for jedi knight 2 : outcast will know what I am talking about...Will this editor have things such as caulk (makes it so the emulator or engine or w/e doesnt write it that object so it it doesnt use more ram drawing it) caulk is mostly used for the outside edges for walls..the ones that cannot be seen. Will there be shader features? such as changing the skys to night or anything such as that? If any that sounds wrong to your knowlege maybe I said something incorrect I dont know im not an expert by far heh im only 16..idk about the rest of you but enough said thx 4 your time. |

pffff shaders on an N64? Well it may have it's own kind of shaders but im sure that stuff would be more about digging through the ROM's assembly language. I have no idea what this caulk is.

Originally posted by ~Sly~ That won't really be neccessary. Super mario 64 (as well as a variety of other nintendo 64 games) had a built in feature so that objects that are not seen, are not drawn. They also changed the high mesh mario polygon, into low mesh mario polygon when the camera was far away from mario. I think that they did this with koopa to, but I'm not sure. Objects that were supposed to be seen, but were to far away were not visible as well. Terrain however, is always projected. These techniques for gaining speed (or saving physical memory) are still used by many 3d game programers today! (such as me.... ) |

I personally don't like that picture.
I really can't describe it, but the Toad looks weird. |
