They might THINK it's a good idea but I bet you anything their sales take a hit if they go through with that plan - and they can't afford a hit right now. |

| If nothing else, pulling a trick like that one would make any store interested in preowned games FAR less likely to order from them. And that's at least a halfway decent portion of the market... Which would be a bad idea on Sony's part. So... it does seem rather unlikely.
Of course, I still need to remind everyone of how bad an idea it would be, because I haven't made it clear enough yet. HORRIBLE. |

| Yeah. Lots of problems would come up from that. You couldnt rent games either. If you owned a game, you couldnt sell it at all or give it to someone else. Your stuck with it. | |||

| for my money its got to be the wii xbox just plain sucks (only good games being elderscrolls and final fantasy 11) and the ps3? well can anyone here acctually afford that thing? plus i love the option of downloading all the old games from nintendo, sega, and even from the tg16! plus i know its in another thread but it goes along with my little rant here, i love to see the return of pitt im praying the rumor of a new kid icarus game is true. wii are the revolution | |||

| I'm getting a Wii for 3 reasons:
1-I've been following Nintendo Since I was 3 2-Low Price ( I would get it anyway but still...) 3-Sony products have 3 shelfs of games at a store near me, Nintendo has one shelf for GBA and a shelf for GCN, and UNDER the PSP lies the DS stuff! REVENGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| I'm definately going with the Wii for price and novelty of games. Also, they have some great games coming out (new RE game) and though the GC had a slow start it picked up later in it's life and had some increadible games (RE games, first party games, NFS). I might pick up a Xbox360 later when games I want come out on it, like Assassins Creed. But the PS3 is going to destroy sony's dominance on the market because they are leaving the price ranges of the gaming market and they are not getting exclusives like they used to. The 360 is getting a lot of the games that were supposedly exclusives on the PS3 and even the Wii is getting some of those games. And the Wii will pick up some great market share for nintendo because it's a great follow up system. A lot of people want to get either an Xbox360 or a PS3, but a lot of those people will also pick up a Wii because it's cheap, should have some great first party games, and it's realatively small. So nintendo's plan, if it goes according to plan, and I think it will, is going to bring them up to speed with sony and microsoft. Like was said earlier, they may still be in third, but they won't be so far back that sony and microsoft don't pay them any attention. | |||

| Wii by far to me. Technically, all Nintendo is offering is a new peripheral but that does really provide a new experience. (Hell, that Donkey Kong Side Scroller with the bongo's for the GC was the most excitement i've had playing a new game since the playstation/dreamcast/N64 days)
As far as the Xbox 360 goes, unless you're really into Halo i see no reason to get one. Tecmo & Bungie were the only exclusive companies microsoft had for the Xbox now it's only Bungie... Time for another uninspired console shooter... yay. |

| I'm getting the Wii mainly because of money. I also don't think I've paid enough attention to the later Nintendo consoles.
I'm not a big fan of Xbox...*prepares to get attacked* Playstation 3 looks great and probably will be but I gotta go with Nintendo. |

If they can keep the spirit of older games in newer consoles, then they should be the best around. (Because, nothing can beet great NES games.) |
