Is Toad's Tool 64 being released tomorrow? I don't recall VL-Tone announcing an official release date (besides the twenty-first)

Wow, I am very impressed with this but I am guessing it is very easy to hack the Nintendo 64 version of Mario 64. I only hack the Nintendo DS and I have made too many hacks for Mario 64 DS. One of the popular ones was the Secret level which can be found on my here: http://digg.com/gaming/Super_Mario_64_DS_Test_level_found_buried_in_the_ROM

I beg to differ. Resource files for Nintendo DS games are organized in an easy-to-edit file access table. Not the case with this N64 title.

I dont get where your logic is coming from. the hack u claim to have added to Mario 64 DS is a test llevel found in the game right? whereas vl-tone's editor will allow u to edit all kinds of things not just unlock unknown stuff.

I should probably start looking for my copy of Mario 64 today

I have one small question. Will we be able to change one type of object into another (ex: the stone star in the castle garden into a level warp [don't steal this idea, is for my Uraniwa hack!! XD]) or delete and add objects?
And when the poligon editing comes out, will we not only edit the mesh, but also edit the bones (you know, if we make Goomba's leg look like Mario's arm it still has one bone while Mario's arm has 2 or 3 and it of course wont move the same way) and edit how the bones move in each action? (Ex: make a goomba walk by rotating its legs or something)

I think the stone is a polygon, but you may maybe move it. In that case you should just move it somewhere you can't see it and the warps should be editable so you could place a warp there.

Evereything (except coins and other 2D stuff) are polygons, I was asking if we could delete objects and add new ones or we could change between the diferent types of objects (goombas aren't the same types of objects as a floating plataform might be). If not I guess that move it would be a solution.

I know that everything but 2d objects are meshes, what I meant is that the stone star is a piece of the landscape and is not countet as a object!!

Well, basicaly everything is Polygons. But if you're talking about Models, then that's a different thing.

It won't be released today. It has been delayed many, many times. Just like Ocarina of Time. Just wait and check back every day.

It's pretty funny how a thread about viewing certain files from Super Mario 64 changes into a thread about a guy releasing info about a level editor he's developing.

By the way, the first release date VL said was in January.
