Work on Paper Mario today. I play it on a emulator though and I always wanted to play that game but didn't get an N64 till last year and I don't have any money to buy the actual cartridge.

I might play my N64 system later on today but I feel like working on Paper Mario instead.

The only thing I can do is talk about the 64 itself since the system and the games are in the states.

And by coincidence, tonight my friends and I even talked about the 64 and some cool games it had.

But, to shock people, I forgot to mention Zelda.

wtf. I can't believe nobody mentioned Zelda. We suck.

<3 n64. It's the only console I have left now, so I'm rather attached to it.

But... it's not with me today, so I won't be able to celebrate.

I'll play MKDS and focus on the retro courses how's that ;D

I couldn't get my N64 to start up, nor my VCR to display anything. (Tossed the VCR into the closet.)

My real N64 has been not working for a few months. Quite unfortunate, but I still play Mario Kart 64 via some emulator (often with one or two other people; and I've been trying a bit of different emus/plugins, unfortunately it seems that nothing plays MK64 like a real system did )

Thanks for all the replies, and thanks for moving it into the General Gaming instead of the general chat

I playing until I slept. When I woke up, I realised that I had left a race running on Diddy Kong Racing, and was something like 7 hours behind everyone else

Thanks for celebrating N64's Anniversary and see you all again same time next year to celebrate the 11th Anniversary Bravo Nintendo for making the BEST console in the world

Heh, I got my N64 and VCR working last night, so I played a bit of F-Zero X.

Haha, I did that with Mario Kart 64 once. I finished Frappe Snowland and left the game at the race results screen while I went out shopping with my mom. Something must have touched the controller; when I came back, I was sitting at the starting line of Choco Mountan and the timer was at 99:59:99. I had to do the whole race with everyone else having a 2-hour head start so I could lose and try again.

Exploded? D= like a power supply failure? You know, if you didn't fry any big components, theres a good fix for those ports. I've dabbled in repairing systems a little bit so...you might be able to save it =P or maybe I'm just too much of a mad scientist and no normal person would feasbly be able to breathe life back in to the old thing. I'm going off on a tangent, sorry

I completely missed the aniversary but I did play N64 on that very day, it is still one of my favorite systems of all time! I played through Chameleon Twist again and started a new file on Mystical Ninja. It'll be the 4th time I've replayed it (and maybe, I will get a full clear this time xP)

In Short, the N64 was, is and hopefully always will be the best console in the world. I know it wasn't the first to host proper 3D, but it was the first system to use 64bits, which means a great lot.

I think it good that the Wii will be able to play old games for a small price

Wow, ten years? Now I feel old. Anyhow, the N64 was indeed one of the best periods in Nintendo's life. Second only to the initial sucess of the NES. Many great games came out of that thing.

And Ocarina of Time for the win.

No, it really exploded.

No idea what caused it. The N64 is in hundreds of peices with the SM64 game rushing with errors in the data the explosion brought.
