-1UP deals with yet another plot by Bowser to kill Mario. My friend has recordings we did of the characters and I'll have them soon. ANYWAY, enjoy these first ten issues of -1UP: The sprite comic's first five issues.

Suggestion:

1. Make it funny.

2. Make it more clear who is talking.

3. Stick to one font, unless you want a work to jump out at you, don't use an obscure font along with the normal one.

Okay, to respond to your comics:

1) I tested it with people who didn't know I made it and they loled., I'll make it funnier.

2) Differnet Color Text makes it clear.

3) Only dead people and the author get different fonts.

Errr....well. Pretty much what Kiraxo said. I didn't really laugh at anything in it, because it just wasn't that funny.

Also, when making a comic, it's a good idea to revise it before you post it. I can tell you didn't because I can spot a few typos which could have easily been fixed.
There's a bit too many words too....I shouldn't feel like I'm reading a whole adventure story in one panel

It's better than stuff that's been seen here lately, but meh..still needs work.

Hmm, well the laptop I used to make these got a virus and I only had half of the comics I made on this one...I guess that these comics had typos. Luckily, I remember where I was going with 6-10 so I should have them up in a few hours.

And here they are. Sorry I was late, I forgot to account for getting the resources.

You know, I have to admit, that this is in the very least a lot more inventive and amusing than some other sprite comics that have been shown in here. The blending of differing styles is good, but your grammar and sentence structure could use some work.

You have some good ideas for gags. Deja Vu, for example, was well-placed. It's clear that you have a grasp on where you're going with the comic.

Your weakness, however, lies in your organization. It's extremely difficult at nearly all times to tell who is speaking, what they're trying to say, and when they say it. While I understand that character color pallettes match the color of their font, this is not readily apparent. Additionally, I don't think a character like Mario would say something like "You have got to be fucking kidding me". It seems more like he's speaking as your personal puppet than as the Mario character. This may be why a Mario-based spite comic really doesn't work out, as Mario himself has little character other than what the writer's perspective portrays him as. As such, there is no universal Mario to write a piece of fiction about.

I would suggest spacing out your comics more. Don't be afraid to have one or two exchanges between characters in each panel, and then save the rest of the exchange for another panel. If anything, it will allow you to convey more emotion between characters, and give you more fodder for your comics. You have a solid idea here: It's got potential. Maybe someday, you could progress to a hand or mouse-drawn format, as opposed to sprites, which get a good bit of flak from a lot of the critics on this board.

Well, this isn't a Mario Comic, it deals with Mario themes, but Mario himself is little more than a target for the Bad Dudes...and Goomba. In fact, he hasn't been seen since Goomba hit the castle.

Hi people! #11 is up, with new organization to make it easier to tell who's talking. Have a look-see and tell if it makes a dif., and if not, what I can do to make it easier.

Tone down on the cussin'. It hurts my eyes...
This is more inventive then most sprite comics here. Thats not a trophy though, since most of the comics here suck.
Badly.
But its meh, just tone down on the cussing.

Okay, I'll bring it down to Simpson level, but I won't entirely get rid of it.

That is the funniest thing I've ever read. Or maybe I just had alot of sugar and I think everything's funny.

This comic has it's ups and downs, but mainly downs. For one, the arrows don't really point to the guy, hence in number 11, 4th panel. The storyline doesn't make too much sense to me, but... meh. I love the Gloomy Reaper sprite though. Didja make it yourself?

Overall, this comic is about a 3/5. I want to see more.
