You seem to have forgotten to attatch the file, or link to it.
Either way, it sounds very interesting, and you seem to be putting alot of work into it. Good luck with your modifications.

The link won't let me download anything. It says it's forbidden.

Go to http://theory.gq.nu/ips/, then right-click "smw2rpg.zip" and choose the "Save Link As..." type option. Worked fine for me, so there's no reason it shouldn't for you The .zip opens fine as well, which is about the only other download-related problem I can think of having a chance of ocurring.

This sounds pretty interesting, but I just popped in here to post the above, so I'll leave it to everyone else to give comments

I left-click on downloads instead of "Save target as...". I like the concept of this. Hopefully it'll be done soon.

My levelling system really, really sucked and I have since deleted it along with the other systems I've mentioned.

I hope none of you try to call hoax on me, though, because Kyouji might still have a copy of some of them and I've still got the know-how to recrate any one of my previous systems.

Anyway, the thing about this idea that's keeping me from getting all giddy like the most of you is, besides the obvious question of whether or not you'll follow through with everything, the fact that these ideas are all over the place. The best way to make a hack or game or anything is to take some central ideas and build on them rather than take some incongruous RPG ideas and stuffing them together.

This has hereby been rated bullshit.
Glitched graphics.
Random fall-through holes.
Your "friendly sprites" are do-nothing sprites (likely MWR-made) with a hidden talk block above one of them, which, by the way, did not move along with it. If one ran through the initial part, one might actually get the impression it somehow went together with the sprite, which is plain off wrong.

None of your "already added" features were inside.
All doors were leading to the zero level.

The chances that you, unknowing what you are doing, made "your custom music coming out fucked up and too fast" rather than not coming out at all are about 1 by 100000. Were you knowing what you were doing, this still would be about the unlikeliest thing you could screw up. The hack didn't contain a trace of edited music either, so I can positively assume you didn't touch music at all.

Either way, I see another orynider-sized hoax coming up. Only thing that's missing now is a faked photoshop-made screenshot.

I might take shit for this, but I'd bet my head this guy couldn't hack his way out of a wet paper bag.

Once again, I'll give you, theory, a day to post something that even remotely proves this has not been a hoax. If I don't see results by then, this shall forever vanish in the trash can of shame.

Features that are implemented:
SMB3 Classic Pipe Levels (Ugly, but functional.)
Fog of War. (Again, ugly, but functional.)
Friendly Sprites in Mushroom Village. (Doors don't lead anywhere yet.)

The SMB3 Classic Pipe Levels are inside and are cool
The "Fog of War" you can only see, if you give your fancy full scope

Man, orynider won the internet for his hack. Best Joke Hack Award for sure

Seriously though, why even bother posting all this info if it will never come true. That's just like me saying I'm gonna turn SMW into full 3-D and make it an RPG. It will never happen.

I really should play hacks before I post in their threads like before. I went off on some tangent on incongrous hack elements which is still true but I really should have played the damn demo first.

SNN, Blackhole was referring to all of the decent things mentioned that the guy never went through with. Where's the Player House? Why can't we buy things? Those were the cool, decent things that supposedly were already added but yet are nowhere to be found.

And the things that do exist suck. Fog of War is just a fancy name for the already existing overworld event system. The friendlies are just Koopas with the interact with Mario bit changed. This is bullshit.

It was somewhat interesting at first but after a second glance, I cannot say that the little hidden gimmicks really payed off nor did the hack deliver anything near what you had originally promised. The glitched graphics and awful palletes are one thing but conspicuous use of block tool and MWR really defeated the purpose of the hack itself which I'd assume was an innovative asm hack. Although I am disappointed, I'm somewhat impressed that you went far enough to change the programming slightly without ever asking for help like a typical newbie. If you can improve the graphics and level design, that would be excellent. Please work on this some more!

Okay, I actually bothered to go through this byte-by-byte and figured there was no trace of any custom assembly code besides what LM already adds in.

The palettes are glitchy, as are the levels themselves. I do not see a trace of a single assembly modification there. $100.000 says this is just another attention whore, in other words, this thread is hereby being NOOBHAMMER'd.

Don't even think posting about that thing again unless you PM me and show me PROOF of any of your so-called leethax skillorz.
